The tools are basic must-haves for any kitchen, are well-constructed, and match any decor when displayed on the counter top. The crock is sturdy with a bit of glam. I've seen similar sets by the manufacturer with one or two additional tools at more than three times the cost. This is a solid buy. The set loses one star on account of the wood spoon drying out after only one use and hand wash. Pro-tip: always hand-wash all tools in the set and use food-grade mineral oil and/or beeswax to condition the wooden spoon straight away.

This is a really nice set that I saw on Crate and Barrel for double the price. Don’t hesitate to buy, such a great value!

Perfect tide for a baker

The Chef'n Mixed Material 5 Piece Tool Set would make a great housewarming gift or starter set for someone putting together their first kitchen. It gives someone like me an excuse to get rid of certain worn utensils that I've been hanging to way too long. These cover 90% of food preparation and serving needs and I love the attractive and handy ceramic holder. You get space left over so it can store other kitchen implements as well.The set itself is good for the price. The standouts are the Walnut spoon and tongs. The former is well made with a good grip, and the latter has a useful twist lock on the base. The wisk is great for stirring scrambled eggs and the nylon tools are perfect for non-stick pands. All of the tools are lightweight and easy to clean. Time will tell how well they hold up to regular use. It is a well-packaged set that looks cute sitting on the counter.~ Kort

This is a perfectly good starter set. All the utensils are decent quality. No rough edges, no flaws, good design - perfectly respectable.The crock is a subtle pattern, a pretty bright white, also looks just fine. All the set is dishwasher safe except the walnut spoon and the crock that holds the tools (ceramic isn't dishwasher safe?). The slotted spoon and turner are heat resistant to 400 degrees. These 5 pieces cover almost every cooking require you'll need: slotted spoon, turner, whisk, tongs, solid spoon, and the crock. It's a nice set and giftable.

Perfect set for the home chef. Made a wonderful well received gift for my girlfriend who loves to cook. The material is nice because it by and large will not scratch the pots and pans. She hates to see me using metal forks and spoons as cooking utensils. They seem like they will last a long time. Even the little round ceramic holder is pretty cool and easy access.
