I bought these because the ones on my 2001 Ford F150 Super Crew were old and not holding up the hood anymore. They were easy to install, and very strong and sturdy. These were priced at less than half what it would have cost at a auto parts store @$31.99 a piece. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this product to anyone wanting a high quality part for less money.

Took about 30 seconds per side to install. All you need is a small flat blade screwdriver 🪛 or something similar. Simply unclip the metal clasp on each end of the old support and push the new one into place. Ya might need a hood support bar,2”x4” Piece of wood or I simply flipped a hammer 🔨 upside down to hold the hood while exchanging out supports or the hood might fall.No need to undue clips on new hinge support, just push onto ball joint. Voila!!!Super stoked with new units, as with the old, I would drop the hood from about half way and it would slam shut with gravity. Now, I need to assist with closing the hood on my F150 because the new supports are so strong.

My hood wouldn't stay open so I replaced the original struts with there. The job is super easy. Check it out on YouTube. It would have been easier with a helper but I just used a tool to keep the hood open and popped off the old strut. After replacing the first one, the new strut kept the hood up and the job was even easier. Total time was probably ten minutes.

Are the support struts on your truck weak? How many times has the hood come down and smacked your head? Take 1 minute total, and replace them with these.

Have someone lift and hold the hood. With a small flat screwdriver, gently pry the metal spring clip up, pop off the old lift support. Then on the new lift support, using the same screwdriver, lift up and pop on the ball stud. Bingo you’re done. Less than 5 minutes to install.
