Slick design.
I have been eyeing this knife for a while. I like the retro-futuristic design. I am also a fan of flippers and Kershaw in general. The blade deploys smoothly thanks to the IKBS caged bearings. You will notice that the detent to keep the blade closed is a bit stronger than on other knives. I'm guessing this is because of the low friction nature of the bearings. I did take mine apart and clean the pivot. The grease on it from the factory was too viscous. I used a lighter grease made for firearms. The grip is comfortable. It doesn't have the grippiest scales, but the shape combined with the flipper keep the knife locked in the hand well. The scales have a brushed pattern that runs parallel to the blade. The ball milled slots are more for show as they don't really enhance grip. Of course I didn't but this to be my tough camping folder, but as a neat EDC for the office. One caveat. The blade didn't come sharp. I like to touch up my new knives anyway, but this one took more time. The edges were even, but not sharp at all. For the price, I don't mind to sharpen. For the size, the knife was not as heavy as I thought an all metal knife would be. Many all metal knives are like rocks; tough but heavy. This knife weighs just a bit more than my Skyline.Overall a great knife and great design. If you want something that looks a little different, but don't want to shell out a ton of money, this is the knife you want. Would recommend.

Great looks but poor functionality.
I bought this knife primarily for the looks, and it loks great. However the function is not up to par. Does not open well, as many others have said. And, once open, on mine the frame lock is MUCH too tight, requiring two hands to close. The pocket clip is also too strong, making it very difficult to get the knife into or out of a pocket. I think it might actually damage some pants. My first and probably last Kershaw. Great looking but poorly implemented. Three stars based solely on the looks.

High value flipper
For the price, this is a fantastic knife. If you like knives and are into flippers, this is a decent high value flipper that you can add to your collection or your EDC rotation. The steel isn't the best, when you compare it to other "exotic" steels, but if you can sharpen a knife the 8cr13mov will serve you well. I'm not much of a fan of the blade coating. To me, it just doesn't match the rest of the knife, but I can get past it due to the awesome value!Normally, I'm not much of a fan of the stainless or titanium handle knives, but this one was too good to pass up. The scales are brushed and look amazing. Although the metal scales make the knife heavier than one with plastic or g10 scales, so keep that in mind. The pocket clip is single position, tip up, right hand only. No lanyard hole. The frame lock secures the blade every time. The nura flips decent. I say decent because it's obviously not going to be on part with a higher end Hinderer or ZT. However it's not totally terrible either. I would say it's just below a crkt ripple in terms of flippability. Also, the bearings/detent ball will need to wear a channel into the blade itself, so it will take a good amount of opening and closing before it gets broken in. You also shouldn't have to flick your wrist to deploy it when it's broken in. However it doesn't flip well when you utilize the "light switch" technique for deployment. If you adopt more of a slapping motion with your finger (hold the knife, and then smack the flipper arm with your finger) it will flip great. For the price, this knife is great, although I will probably buy the 3.5 version soon for the longer blade.

Awesome knife. Its not spring assisted but can be opened very easily with the flick of your wrist when pressing the button. It holds very well when open. One of the better 'cheap-side' kershaw blades. Easy to sharpen and looks great. Its a little smaller than imagined though but that ends up being very practical.

Pretty (useless) Knife
Very disappointing. Firstly, I've loved Kershaw knives for more than 20 years. This knife just doesn't cut it.Pros: Knife came very sharp. This is something I've always loved about Kershaw. It's an attractive knife.Cons: Opens poorly, locks with difficulty, unlocks with unmerited difficulty, doesn't feel great in the hand. Now it doesn't lock at all and the blade falls open.Bottom line: If you want a great looking knife that you can't use for anything practical, this is your knife. If you're looking at actually using your knife, look at other Kershaw knives that aren't designed by Dmitry Sinkevich.I've been very happy with the Kershaw 1920 Select Fire Multi-Tool. Great knife in all general use regards.

Doesnt close securely. Not a SpeedSafe, not even close.
Not spring assisted, first of all. If you're used to that, it does not come out as easy, at all. I wish someone would have written this review before I bought it..... I can see how the blade staying fully in place when closed could be a serious problem. The blade is loose when closed. The blade locked is good and solid. The blade is the sharpest I've ever seen out of the box from Kershaw. It looks good but its pretty lame overall compared to a Kershaw spring assist Speedsafe. Doesn't even compare to even the cheapest spring assisted knives I've seen. I wouldn't have purchased if I would have know. Save your money and buy a speedsafe.

My Current EDC -
Kershaw is my Favorite knife maker. I love the KVT pivot; fit, finish, and edge are Great. And this knife's just small enough for a Gentleman's Blade. Classy, Great Action, Good Fit for Me. It's More than a Little Scary that this Quality at this Price is coming out of the United States' greatest economic competitor - China.

Know what you're buying
Yes, the detent is weak as heck out of the box. Yes, the blade grind is uneven (a nice way to put it). But the Nura 3.0 is still probably worth the price, even if it's not close to Kershaw's best effort, because that price is under $20. For that money, you get KVT ball bearings and a really nice design, which is the primary reason I picked the knife up. It looks sharp, disappears in the pocket and has a classy pocket clip, one of the few Kershaw makes without their name plastered on it. However the grind is so bad I might have to return it.
