sturdy
these are heavy duty and don't have all of the electronics in them to go haywire like the new junk chargers. Select setting and turn it on and it just works every time.

Great charger good buy
So far so good had this about 3 months I guess been used off and on was left in the rain once which is why I wanted a weather proof charger and so far so good didn’t seem to effect the charger. I really like the clamps they are heavy duty along with heavy cables. The charger itself ain’t light I either this thing is heavy built. The only thing I could say is for as heavy as it is the wheels seem cheap

Stop working after two months!!
I though I have got a good charge for the price. After two months of regular/ normal use STOP WORKING! Please read the warranty before purchasing this item. Its a pain in the ...... to get it replaced or fixed. You would need to pay the fees to sent it back. very disappointed.

Professional "service station" type
I purchased this as a result of battery weakness in the winter of my two garaged autos. I didn't want to have aproblem with a dead battery. I researched batteries and discovered that you can stimulate the chemicalswith a good charge. I also wanted a charger that can boost a weak battery and start the engine. I'm worry freeanytime now because I have a professional battery charger that I can count on when I have a weak batteryat home. No worries. The best. Also, the reviews helped me to make up my mind on this Associated charger.I've used it this past winter. When I hook it up I can soon hear the acid solution bubble. The shipper takes great care to package appropriate to the equipment. Arrived to my residence in perfect shape.

Heavy Duty, but confusing
Good heavy duty battery charger. The operation isn't the most straight forward however. Could have better instructions on using it.

Cross threaded screws, holes in handle didn't line up, had to re drill
Was put together in a hurry or by someone that doesn't know how tools work, but works as described

Charger works after a simple repair.
This charger appears to work after a simple repair. I ordered this battery charger to help with starting my diesel trucks and equipment, and, after checking the leads, plugging the charger in, and turning it on, I found that only the fan spins in the charger and no voltage change is present at the battery even while toggling through all 12V settings (charging assist and low to high options). Opening up the side panel, I checked for anything out of place and found a loose connector at the AC circuit breaker as labeled in the wiring diagram that comes with the charger. The AC circuit breaker was not secured to the mounting plate and was floating, which may explain why the connector came loose, possibly while being shipping. I secured it to the fan mount with some electrical tape, plugged the connector in, and checked that it was charging, which it was. In addition the nuts securing the fan to its mount were loose and I had to tighten those down. The quality control and design is questionable. I shouldn't have to do this for a new battery charger as expensive as this one is. Also, what people are saying about the control settings being confusing are 100% correct. The controls should be more simple than how it appears, like on the older machines I've seen. It looks like someone at the company let their art student kid design the control settings. It's not intuitive and requires a detailed section in the operator's manual, which it's currently lacking. All it needs is two knobs, one for toggling between 12V, crank assist, 18V, and 24V, then one knob for toggling between low and high for the above voltages. It's so strange that something like this could be so easily screwed up. Like what were they thinking? I'm a welder and a mechanic, not a modern art critic. I'm hoping it works better than it looks.
