American Classic Nail Care Set (Gelous Nail Gel Base Coat Nail Polish & Growth Spurt Nail Treatment)

I have been using these products for years and love them, but have always been able to purchase in my local Sally’s until recently.Fortunately, I located these on Amazon through a third party seller. When products arrived, which I received more quickly than anticipated, I had an issue with one of the two items. This pair of polishes has been providing a solid enough coating for my split thumb nailto keep it from snagging on things and splitting further. I've been trying for a few years to find a solution to get the split to grow out. Other polishes and a superglue-like nail repair didn't seal the split. Two coats of this Growth Spurt, then two coats of the Gelous, with the nail trimmed very short, makes a surface that is solid enough that I don't have to think about it. Plus, on the rest of my nails, it's pretty. :)

I decided to try this to help me grow out two split thumb nails as well as make the rest of my nails stronger. It really helped cover and protect my split thumb nails and they are both completely grown out now. It wears very well and lasts very long without chipping, and it is a little bit thicker and stronger than normal clear polish.I left one coat of each on my nails for a little over a week before I decided to refresh it, and it had not peeled or chipped off at all. Easy to remove with normal nail polish remover. Definitely recommend this.

I love both products! Gelous top coat makes my manicure feel like no-chip nails, and it definitely thickens them. It's most noticeable when I use 2 coats. Growth Spurt, as a base coat, seems to strengthen my nails. I can use inexpensive polish or higher end polish with both of these products, and my manicure lasts about 3-5 days. What makes me happiest, though, is that I'm able to grow longer nails using these two.

Product was as described and as pictured. I did have a problem with the bottles leaking. I had put them in my coach purse and when I took them out, there was dried polish on the outside of the rim and in the bottom of my purse. Lids were on as tight as they would go. Not sure why they leaked. Can not remove dried polish from the leather.

I put this on after I polish my nails. Is makes your nails as though you got a high gloss nail coating. The tech site up and down it was gel nails.

Don't bother with this set. Just get the Gelous separately. I've used it many times and it's always great and keeps my manicures on longer than just polish but the Growth Spurt base coat did nothing. I feel it actually made my polish peel off. It's not worth it.
