Better than those costing $thousands! If you have never had hearing aids, try Banglijia!
We have been so grateful for your patience and help getting Patti’s hearing problems resolved. We intend to give a 4 star review even as we return the AL08R and Ziv-201 units. The 2 AL08R hearing aids are more powerful than she needs. Their clarity of sound was comparable to the Miracle Ear. The receiver in the ear is a very good idea and similar or slightly better than the Miracle Ear aids which were 10 times the cost! Yet they’re so powerful that she had to remove them in church and in our dining room. Patti, at 90, is a retired college speech teacher. Her testing was carefully done. With the right size domes she really wished they would help especially in noisy environments. She tested the Ziv-201 in both ears. Their volume was just right and every bit as clear as her Miracle Ear in the opposite ear. I even tested it in comparison to my Phonak prescribed by the VA. I hold the Ed.D. In Instructional Systems Technology and am a retired college professor and Director of Instructional TV Services and radio/tv producer. Your unit is at least as good as the Phonak which would be at least 30 times the retail price. And my Phonak units don’t reduce unwanted noise any better than your units. Your customer service is the best and most prompt we could ever expect. So it is sad that we choose to return them. Patti will return to her audiologist to see if there is any way that her old units can be adjusted to help in the noisy areas. Thank you for this service. You have our permission to quote us. We want to assure anyone reading our review that we have received no remuneration, nor are we related in any way with Banglijian or any persons working for the company!

Battery loses charge. Also no contact.
#1. Best hearing assist I've used. Lightyears ahead of older models and others. WHEN IT WORKS.#2. Fully charged battery dead after a few days in the case. Happened 3 times when I was helpless in public meetings. (I use primarily when in large rooms/groups)#3. Communication stopped when requesting help or replacement. Corona Virus?I am reluctant to abandon because it works so well when power survives. Hoping Manufacturer can work this out. If no battery issue would give product #6 rating on 5 point scale.

Works with issues
I don't know, I'm probably going to have to return this item also, it seems to be defective. It works one day, the next it doesn't. When working the user hears good enough to hold a conversation; but the next day we hear nothing. No little beeps or that high pitch sound when trying to insert it. We hold the program button we hear nothing, press volume button, nothing. After pushing and holding buttons for more than 10 minutes; we might hear a beep, but user hears no sound. Because it does work when it works is the reason for 3 stars.

Bad Quality
I bought two of the hearing amplifiers - one for each ear. Within two weeks the receiver on one had separated from the device and on the other the rocker switch had some off the saddle. Lots and lots of whistling. I do not recommend buying this product. The company's delivery time was excellent and I got an immediate rebate on my purchase when returned.

Do not waste your money.
These hearing aids are very fragile. This is actually the second one. The first aid split down the seams. Now this one has broken completely apart as I was placing it in my right ear.

So far, so good
I have tried at least 8 or 10 different hearing aids; two of them were high dollar audiologist fitted pairs sold by one of the big warehouse stores. This one performs for me better than the expensive ones. The description says there are two earwax springs. I can find only the one in the earpiece. The manufacturer's 1 year warranty concerns me, so I opted for the 3 year protection plan. Fingers are crossed that that works out.I have a Banglijian BLJ-109 that works pretty well, but I haven't found a way to minimize the feedback, especially when I wear a broad-brimmed hat. This one seems to work well with a hat. One option for the less expensive one is a fitted earpiece, but there are disadvantages with those. There are a couple of disadvantages:I have had this one for a few days. It is uncomfortable in my ear, but that seems to be getting better. The rechargeable feature is IMO not the best way to go. I will have to carry around the charger whenever I travel. I also have to remember to charge it every night. Carrying spare batteries is simpler for me.The wire to the earpiece is too long; it sticks out a bit. The tube type can be easily trimmed, these cannot. Not a big deal to me, but it might be to some.Good point:The feedback that all the tube types that I tried have is significantly less with this one. Because of that I can adjust the volume high enough that I can hear the TV at the same level my wife uses. All factors considered, I will probably order one for the right side. The wife approves. The previous review was intended for the left ear version. I ordered the right side aid and have worn it for a week or so. SWMBO is quite happy now. If these last for the three years I paid for, they will be a well worthwhile purchase. The folks who complained about the squeal of the feedback should have taken the time to try the different ear pieces provided. I found two of them that work quite well for me. Others result in the feedback they mentioned.edit a few months later: I bought one for each ear. The left one has quit working. The volume is very low. It comes up for less than a second once in a long while. I dropped the rating to 3 stars--these have been the most effective hearing aids I have tried. Reliability is #1 with me. Convenience is probably next. I still prefer non-rechargeable aids.I am having some difficulty finding out how to contact the company for the warranty.I notice this model is no longer available. Is my problem related to that?
