Kupo Hot Shoe Adapter (KG006711),Black

I use this cold shoe adapter with the (BIG - 1/4" Male to 1/4" Male Threaded Screw Adapter) to fasten my Rode VideoMic Pro to a cage (Opteka CXS-500 X-Cage Pro with Handgrip and Rail System for all DSLR cameras). Since the cage has quarter by twenty threaded holes this allows for a cold shoe accessory to be used with the camera cage. The product photo does not show it but this accessory has a quarter-twenty threaded hole in the bottom. I liked this one because the knob didn't look like cheap plastic as in some of the similar offerings. I ought to ding you one star for describing this as a "hot" shoe adapter. This is a COLD shoe adapter because it does not conduct electrical signals between camera and flash.

In my bag the knob has come undone quite a few times, which in turn makes it come apart and I lose the springs... which is why I had to order this one which has also now lost it's spring just by coming loose from being in my bag.

Wow, this ball head is absolutely solid. The metal construction adds a very nice feel, the design is sleek, and best of all it is flexible enough to be mounted in a variety of different ways beyond the cold shoe with minimal effort.Definitely worth every penny.

Holds my Nikon speedlights tight and I don't worry about the flashes coming loose and crashing to the ground. I used them on a variety of stands and adapters. I purchased four of these and replaced some older less reliable hot shoe adapters.

Perfect cold shoe for holding a speed light on top of a light stand or swivel ball mount. Well made and holds tight. Will buy more of these. It is NOT a hot shoe.
