What size zerk fitting is this for? I have fittings on a hose cart that the gun will not lock onto.
has anyone figured out how to tighten the flexible hose.its almost impossible because of the bar on top and the spring on the bottom could barely tigh
What brand of cartridge is easy to install and remove?
Is the bottom end cap threaded on like on a full size grease gun?

Decent good for tight spots

First off I don’t regret buying this it’s awesome for greasing my lawnmower it’s a decent grease gun that does the job however my only complaint about this is the plunger slips to easy it should lock in a little better while changing a grease cartridge be very careful or it will get messy quick not a huge deal just be gently and you will be fine or use a pair of vise grips to lightly clamp them end of the plunger for safety like ILearned to do.

Quality Grease Gun

What's not to like. Cost more than others, but the quality is there to justify it.

Initial impression is favorable - Long term not so much

[Original 3 star review, downgraded to 1 star after more experience - see edit at bottom]Seems like a decent inexpensive grease gun. It's not the best thing, but it's an okay thing. When loading it, you have to be very careful when loading because the handle can pop out of its notch and send grease exploding out of the tube. You don't have to bump the handle. You just have to bump the grease gun lightly for this to happen. It wouldn't release the zerk fitting. I had to move it all the way to one side so it was at an angle, then pry it off with two screwdrivers, one on either side. THEN it came off.I don't regret buying it because it does the job and is inexpensive. It's okay for the occasional user as long as you keep two flat head screwdrivers handy when using it. If you need a grease gun for frequent use, move on.[EDIT]Today (Jan 9, 2020) I finally got so fed up with this thing that I threw it in the trash. Once AGAIN while trying to load up new tube, the plunger popped out of its "locking position" and sent grease everywhere. The first time this happened I chalked it up to user error. But it has happened on nearly every reload. The thing is so poorly locked that almost any little bump knocks it out, then the spring does the rest. It is extremely difficult to hold this thing steady enough to successfully reload it. I have spent more on popped grease tubes than I did on the grease gun.And I'm also tired of having to pry it off of every zerk fitting.I am done with this thing.

Be advised - the CHUCK may not disengage w/o loosening the nut...

The chuck on this gun must be loosened to let go of the zerk fitting. I'm talking about the collar/nut at the very end where the zerk fitting is inserted. If you leave it fully screwed on, you can push it onto the zerk but you'll never get it off. I had to loosen the nut to almost coming off to get it off the zerk fitting. This can be good and bad depending on your pov. The good is it really holds on and won't come off. The bad is you have to loosen the nut to get it off. But overall the gun works well and this is probably a minor issue for most. BUT - if you don't know this and you slip it onto a zerk in a confined area with the end-nut fully tight, you may not even be able to get a wrench in there to loosen the nut and remove the chuck (this almost happened to me) - then you're really in a pickle.I have another (full-size) grease gun (different brand) that has a slightly different chuck and it pushes on and comes off without *any* adjusting of the end-nut.

Good luck in understanding the instructions!

I learned a long time ago as a School Psychologist that many Teachers did not know or understand how to give explicit instructions to their students toward helping them succeed better in the classroom and prevent needless failures. Let me tell you, reading and executing the instructions on how to load and activate this Grease Gun is a lesson in how to waste 1/3 to 2/3 of the grease (which was expelled on my garage floor). That just about doubled my purchase price and aggravated the heck out of an honest customer. Good, understandable, foolproof instructions are very difficult, but not impossible to write. SP Mini Grease Gun could and should do a MUCH better job, but they apparently don't care enough to put someone in that job who knows how to write in the English language well enough for the average novice to prevent the disaster that I experienced.
