Use ziplock bags and duct tape after seams give out.
First let me say, I have not been kind to these sand bags. They have been dragged back and forth, tossed in the back of the SUV, tossed on the ground. They have had a rough life. After reading reviews about leaking sand I knew enough to put in at least 2 freezer ziplock bags before filling to contain the sand. So far I've had no spillage even though the seams have ripped open on a couple of the bags. I have duct tape wrapped around these bags now, even the ones that have not ripped at the seam. They still serve me well but they look awful. With the seams giving out I couldn't give these higher than an "it's okay" rating. I'm pleased that the handles seem to be very well constructed - they show no signs of fraying or coming apart at the stitching. As long as the ziplock bags and duct tape holds I will continue to use these.

Ok for the price
I would not call those sand bags Heavy Duty, at most they are medium or light duty.I have purchase over 20 of these blue and black stripped sand bags from various vendors on Amazon. Some are better make than others but all are make of medium to light weight fabrics. If you handle them with care they should last for a while. We use three of the bags to hold down each speaker tripod at outdoor events. But if you drop them on anything that have a sharp edge or point they are easily cut or puncture.I had replaced many of them after they are cut open. Since I double-bag the sand, using two 1-gal ziploc bags, they are easily transfer to a new bag. If you are looking for real heavy duty sand bags I would look else where. These are great medium or light duty sand bags for the price.

Great value for the money.
I use lots of these in a pro setting. When compared to the 20-30 bucks you can spend for a single brandname bag these are a solid value. The material is fairly strong and tough and they are double zippered for filling / keeping the sand in. I have had a couple tear from being ripped in light stands (where the braces to the center column meet the leg) but a piece of gaffer tape on the inside and again on the outside seems to do the trick. I have tossed them around and they do their job. Even heavier material would be nice but then they would cost more. I have purchased these in the past and I needed more (if that is a testament to their value.)

Works great - major stability upgrade
If you're on the fence about whether or not you really need sandbags for your lights, get them. The wide double strap carry handle fits over my Manfrotto light stands and the pouches hang on either side of the leg. The setup is very stable with a 60" umbrella's weight 3' off axis. Without sandbags it feels always about to fall over. I filled these bags with Vigoro branded pea pebbles from the home improvement store. Each pouch holds approx. 0.1 cubic feet of material so you can fill 2.5 of these bags for under $4 worth of pebbles. My bathroom scale says a finished bag weighs 17lb. I probably could have stuffed more pebbles in but I didn't want to stress the inner zipper too much closing it.

Every now and then CowboyStudio sells some very well priced quality items, these sand bags included.
They are nice and tough to begin with and I like the double zipper pockets.Beware they are not waterproof, which has it pluses and minuses. The plus being, if you are filling them with damp sand the lack of hydration barriers will allow the sand to dry out, hang them up in bright sun to dry out. The minus is that if you drop them in a puddle/pool of H2O expect to be hanging them out to dry later. The yellow and back stripes are easy to see on set even in the shadows.I have noticed some fine dust, now they are nice and dry, puffing out when moving the bags but really this is not a terrible thing. One could use large/medium sized zip style plastic bags to put ones dry sand in (maybe use gaffers tape as an extra sealant for the plastic bags) and then into the double zippered pockets. I do intend on buying some more of these in the near future.

Nice Sand Bags
I am quite pleased overall with these sand bags. The stitching is well done and strong on all seams. The carrying strap is extra wide and more comfortable to handle and also feels stronger than other bags I have used. The only minor complaint I have is that the zippers tend to be hard to pull closed after filling the bags with sand. I overcame this by pulling the zippers partway closed before adding the sand. This solved the problem handily. I also like the reflective level of the yellow paint, as it is just bright enough for the job, without bouncing light where I don't want it to go. Nice Bags and well worth the one time expense.

Much larger than I thought
These are full sized bags. They are billed as being 10 lb. bags, but they are the same size as my 20 lb. sandbags. I wanted bags that would be easy to carry and help stabilize small light stands with light loads. I have a number of the LED lights which don't weigh much, but at full extension make my Manfrotto stacker light stands a little more tipsy than I like.OTOH, the construction is fine (double zipper per side) and would be a good bag. Just make sure you want a full-sized bag.

Works fine for non daily use.
Works fine. The pros who use sand bags daily would never use anything with zippers, but for my occasional use, these seem rugged enough as they have two zippers. They can be flipped over to only have black, and the Blue stripes are good to alert people there are stands. Overall, good. Don't foresee the zippers bursting, not enough use to tell yet.Shipping is obviously expensive with real pro sandbags. For these, I got two 50 pound bags of sandbox sand at Home Depot for 3.50$ a bag, and had good clean sand.
