Original Soundtrack to the 2014 motion picture. The WHIPLASH Soundtrack consists of 21 tracks sequenced in three distinct parts: Original jazz songs written for the film, original score written for the film, and classic jazz standards by Stan Getz, Duke Ellington and more. There are also choice snippets of dialog included on the Soundtrack that sum up the narrative of the film and help to put the music in context (a la Pulp Fiction). The Original Score and Big Band Songs created by Justin Hurwitz. The original jazz songs were created by Grammy-nominated composer, Tim Simonec.

Excellent quality Vinyl
Excellent vinyl, the quality is top notch, the song selection is excellent. I have seen the movie a couples of times and love it, so I figured the vinyl would be good, and it did not disappoint. Some reviewers indicated that the dialog bothered them, and that is a personal opinion that I respect, but to be clear, side one has about 3 to 5 second of speech, and side two has a minute 28 seconds of monologue by the excellent J.K Simmons . So, yes, some soundtracks are filled with dialog, which also bothers me, but this one was not one of those. All in all, one fantastic soundtrack from a fantastic movie.

great music/great on vinyl
I really enjoyed listening to this album. If you enjoy listening to music on a really good system (really good turntable), this is really fun to listen to. I recommend the extended 2 LP version rather than the 1LP version of the soundtrack. There is a lot more music and there are some remixes that are interesting to listen to. I highly recommend.

Superb
This vinyl sounds truly amazing. You won't be dissapointed by the audio quality. The only complain I would have is that the vinyl was a bit dirty (felt like covered with some sort of fur). But it was possible to remove it and that's perhaps common for new records.
