Works as advertised. Needs a long 12 or more hours to charge, after that the IsoTip cordless soldering iron is ready to go. New soldering iron tips get hot a lot faster than the old ones, so new tips is the way to go.

While only time will tell whether this battery exhibits a lifespan comparable to the factory original, it has, for the time being, rejuvenated Wahl cordless soldering iron. At a price equating to about 25% of a "factory" replacement or 12% of a new soldering iron, it will likely remain a cost-effective replacement.Simply bending the welded tabs to the same angles as the original made the replacement nearly effortless. The pre-punched holes in the tabs appeared to be a bit smaller than the originals, but simply installing the mounting screws through the thin materal handled any required enlargement.

I ordered this image after finding out that the manufacturer's webstore was sold out for both the version for my model battery, (#7933) and the recommend substitute battery, (#7733.) The unit I received didn't have holes in the tabs, (like the image shows.)The battery fits in and tool and seems to function correctly. However, I needed to create screw holes to allow the connection. (This is not as easy as it seems given the thinness of the material that the tab are made from. I ended up using a scribe to punch a hole and widened it to allow the screw to fit.) If you have a small punch and die set, you'd probably get better results.)

Works perfectly i have had the iso-tip soldiering gun for over 15 years and just keep replacing the battery when it needs it then its like new!

missing mounting holes forced me to have our model shop modify this thing to make it work. It's is NOT a drop-in replacement out of the box :-(

All was good.

this battery would not take a charge. Charged it overnight and it worked for about 30 seconds and died. Went to batteries plus and they made one to fit for $10 and it charged up in 4 hours and worked great.
