Best cordless iron there is
Best cordless iron there is. I've done hundreds of splices with this iron, it's portable, easy to use and heat up quickly.

Only worked once.
Over the years I have used about four of these soldering irons and they lasted several years. I was an on-the-road musician and would need to fix equipment sometimes on the stage and with no AC wires this was perfect. However, this new model 7700 quick charge only worked once on a very simple soldering of two wires. Now the bulb goes dim after 5 seconds and no heat. I bought it three months ago but with a 30-day guarantee, I am afraid I am screwed out of around $80.00 including tax. Too bad they used to be a really terrific product.

Portable and Functional
-Heats up quickly-Holds enough battery charge for small electronics projects-It's nicely balanced when held-The only feature I think this tool lacks is a charging indicator on the charger, aside from that it's served me well

Great little tool!
This is my second one. The first one seems to have disappeared somehow. Where did I leave it. I used it for years, and it was so handy for small quick solder jobs. This one is every bit as great as the first. Took it out of the box, charged it up and it just worked. No issues no problems. I do wish it came with a couple extra tips, but that is not a big issue. If you need a small portable soldering iron, this is the clear ticket. I like pretty much everything about it. A great addition to my tool box.

Absolute Piece of Junk!
This is an absolute piece of junk. No matter how much you charge it, the battery does not hold a charge for more than a few minutes. No lights for charging showing that it is receiving a charge or that the charge is completed.Great idea but an example in not so cheap rubbish. Do not buy this unit what ever you do!

It went south
These solder iron’s were great. Had them in the past. This one only lasted about 45 days, after 3 charges . Now it won’t take a charge. Totally useless. Cannot get a refund from Amazon , because it’s beyond the 30 days. I believe the supplier should take care of this , since I can’t return it via Amazon.11/22. Update.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I called the manufacturer and they are sending a replacement battery ..11/23 update . Found the problem.. I opened up the chargeable iron to remove the bad battery, and I discovered a pigtail wire comeing off negative pin to connect to charger opened . Therefore it wasn’t charging the battery. I soldered the open wire and now it all good! The battery is taking a charge , and now backing business..! I called the service agent about the problem , telling them no need to send me a replacement battery.

Very durable
I used this model at work on an almost daily basis. It works very well. Heats up fast. Tips burn out on a fairly regular basis but please note we use them 3 tours a day every day and they are treated to severe abuse. I've had the fuse wire inside the unit fail on a couple of them but its an easy fix. I've also seen them used (abused) to the point that the on button melted inside, but again I opened it up and it was an easy fix. I tried buying a cheap model from sears for my own use, it didn't last 2 months. After that I went out and bought one of these off amazon for my own use, guess you get what you pay for. After all my experiences with this unit I should have known better. It is certainly worth the money.
