Great value subwoofer
Ok, so I've been in the car audio game for a while and I've heard multitudes of subwoofers over the years. So with that being said this JBL was something I just wanted for a daily driven Honda Civic. So far these things absolutely pound to the point where you can feel the bass in your chest.But I think there's a few things you should know to get the most out of these subs. These say 250watts RMS and I'm using about 450watts RMS with no issue but because they are super sensitive at 90db/w they get loud even with 200watts. Tuning your amp is key as well so you're not clipping the sub.I currently have these in a sealed box with 1cu.ft per sub and I think that's about perfect. It also says in goes down to 35hz which is pretty close but I'd say they bottom at closer to the 30hz range and max out around 125hz on the crossover I have set.So to sum up everything I think these are an amazing value as I found them from $30-50 on ebay. They aren't going to be the subs you choose for massive SPL but in the right box they play nice and clean. These also don't need much power to push either so that way you can use a smaller amp and still get those nice low tones.
