Orbit56186N Lawn and Garden 1/2-Inch Brass Impact Sprinkler with Metal Wheel Base

This has made a huge difference in my garden and saves me time because I do not have to water each plant separately with a hose as I had been doing. It is high quality. Also backyard birds love to play in the spray!

I originally got the plastic one and it was horrible. The threading was already misaligned/ stripped from the get go. Water came out the base in multiple areas, it wasn't heavy enough to lay flat on the ground, and the water pressure caused it to flip.As for the metal one, it's very solidly made. Sprays really evenly, and adjusts the area size easily.

After a 2-day dethatching/reseeding job, I want to make sure the grass seedlings in my yard get plenty of water. I ordered the Orbit 3-arm sprinkler from Amazon plus bought a Miracle Gro Premium Soaker Hose at the local Home Depot. The Orbit worked well and did not tip over when connected to a Gloue 100-foot expandable hose with a wide-open water line. It spun at a nice slow rate and disseminated water droplets evenly. The wheels were helpful to reposition the device without having to pick it up. It soaked the ground much faster than the soaker hose, which I shouldn’t have purchased because it worked too slowly over too narrow an area.In the end, I used my trusty JOKOBI 9-Function Spray Nozzle to water most of the lawn. The Orbit sprinkler had such a wide range that my next-door neighbor had to use an umbrella while walking by in his yard, and I got drenched repositioning the sprinkler 4 times. The Jokobi allows me to vary the stream from “jet” (concentrated stream that nearly spans the width of my yard) to “mist” or “cone” for areas closer to me. For the short time necessary to soak the grass seedlings, this is faster and keeps me drier.The Orbit sprinkler would be great for a medium-sized yard. But if you only need watering for short time periods in a small yard, try the multi-function nozzle on your hose before investing in extra equipment.

Bought mine in 2020, 4 years ago!!! It works better and has outlasted all the other smaller sprinklers so I'm buying more. It works great, and has full coverage.Sturdy and well made.

We have hard well water and if a sprinkler sprays on the windows it leaves spots. This sturdy sprinkler waters a big enough area without spraying into the air, wasting water and leaving spots. I am getting rid of several small sprinklers . I'm going to buy another sprinkler like this.

I have a well which seems lower pressure on outside anti freeze faucets than indoors. This sprinkler is like the old fashion ones and it waters a great area much better than oscillating sprinklers. Very simple and light weight. Love it

After fiddling with the adjustments for several hours and trying different things, I still can’t get this think to work for more than a few minutes without it locking up in one spot an stopping it’s sweep. Might be OK if you want a 360 degree spray, but if you need adjustability, I was stay away from this brand. As a side note, I also bought a timer by Orbit, and it was dead right out of the box. Not sure what’s going on with this company, but I will never buy any of their products again. Terrible quality.

This sprinkler is a great price, I’ll start there. However, I was less excited after using it. If it’s not secure in tall grass or if it’s sitting on rock/cement (at the edge of my lawn) this sprinkler will move around due to the vibration from the head. It would be great if the base had more weight. The sprinkler is lower profile, I’d prefer it stand just a little taller - I feel like a it throws water across the grass because it’s too low and can’t get it quite up and out! A 1-2” (or more) rise would be helpful. Only 1 week old so I can’t speak to further durability/longevity.

Lo adquirí porque uno anterior que tuve -muy similar, misma marca-, ya estaba muy desgastado, al ver la imagen me ilusioné, pero al recibirlo oooh sorpresa! parecía juguete de niños, diminuto y demasiado ligero, que pensé no me duraría nada......tengo como 2 meses con él y todos los días lo uso para regar donde mis aspersores no alcanzan a regar y la verdad es muy homogénea la distribución del agua en un diámetro como 5 metros (sin abrir todo el flujo de la lleve de jardín), por lo que funciona perfecto aún a baja presión.

The sprinkler replaced an older one that has broken. Happy with the new one as is seems reasonably sturdy

Difficult to set to max turning mode and my German shepard has managed to bite through the metal..but seeing as I brought it for him he is still enjoying it
