I usually like shoulder bags because I like to have my hands free. Most bags now are not that shoulder style and are often carried in an elbow or forearm. Sometimes you get lucky and the straps work either shoulder or arm...this one DOES!!! I don't like when straps are tiny because I don't like my bag almost in my armpit or spun sideways on my back. I also don't like when there are two sets of handles unless they are removable. But I also don't want to look like I haven't updated my handbag since the 80s!!! This seemed to fit my needs.I chose the black color because it goes with so many things. I was surprised to find that it almost has a shimmer to it...not shiny like patent, and not glitter...but a very subtle shimmer that sometimes catches light. Very different....not sure I liked it at first but it does give the texture a little more depth than just "flat" leather. I like that the straps and grommets are golden color and that the Kate Spade label isn't too in-your-face big. Plus is it only on one side so you don't have to have it showing at all if you don't want to.The inside does have a zippered middle compartment, which is good because the to sides are open. The entire middle can be clasped magnetically with a tab, but it still isn't "closed" and things could fall out. I keep my small items (pen, lipstick) and wallet in the middle so they aren't lost and put bigger things in the sides (phone, sunglasses, compact, etc.) There are 2 pockets on one side (about the size of a phone) and one small zipper pocket on the other side.I really love the look of the quilted leather and the gold accents. I also like that isn't overdone with charms, zippers, stones, and do-dads hanging all over it. And I do like charms and do-dads, but sometimes you just want a more classic and clean look. :)

I can't believe how pleased I am with this bag. The listing didn't do it justice, actually. The product page doesn't show the inside of the bag - it has two open compartments, separated by a zipper compartment in the middle. Plus, there are two slip pockets on one side and a zipper wall pocket on the other. It's not a huge bag, but I can get all of my essentials for work into it (even my giant phone). The straps are just the right length for carrying on my shoulder (even over a heavy coat) so my hands can be free.I love it!

I have never bought a designer purse before but fell in love with the looks of this one. Since I was buying it online, I was worried if it would look as good in person. I'm pleased to say it looks even better! The material is gorgeous and not flimsy. It's easy to wipe clean, which is something that was important to me since I worried about spending money on something that would look beat up right away. There are so many thoughtful details, too: the magnetic clasp snaps into place with a satisfying click; the gold-toned feet on the bottom protect the bag's base; and the chain handles add just enough bling to look good without being gaudy. I absolutely LOVE this purse!

This is my new favorite handbag! It is my first Kate Spade. I usually like Dooney & Bourke, Coach, and B Makowsky. I bought it to carry to work everyday. I walk to work so I wanted something that was lightweight, held a lot, and stayed on my shoulder. This definitely fit the bill. The hardware is nice quality and the size is just right. I have no complaints at all.

The purse size and space is great but really disappointed on the quality. It doesn't give the look or the feel of a high quality bag.I will keep it only because I like the size and the style of the bag and it is perfect for daily use. Again considering the quality which is a biggest downfall it is not worth the price.

Wonderful purse - as perfect to use during the day as in the evening. Love the creme interior and how well designed the interior is for storing my wallet, phone, keys, lipwear, etc. Perfect to take on a trip because it is so versatile. A keeper!

I was looking for a mid size shoulder bag as I decided that I am so done with the large bags. I am happy that I got this bag as it is just the right size, holds the basics that I need for every day and is quite stylish.

Love this purse! It is gorgeous inside and out. There are two compartments and a middle zipper pouch separating them. It's a good medium-sized purse, perfect for anywhere. The quality is very good. I am very glad I purchase it.
