The Resident's Guide to Ambulatory Care: Frequently Encountered and Commonly Confused Clinical Conditions 7th Edition

I have followed this text through multiple editions. It is simply the best outpatient handbook for primary care. It's not as comprehensive as some (although it has grown with each edition and it has the BIG 85-90% of what you will see every day) but what it does do it does so well there is no comparison with other handbooks. The layout and organization are crystal clear, rapidly accessed and the information you are looking for obtained quickly. And it is excellent information. "Dense" may seem like a better value but when it takes you 15 minutes to track down what you need out of that other book, the 3 minutes you have to spend with this book to get information that is actually more practical will prove it's worth.

Its extensive and I like the format. I used to have the old edition . The only downside is how TINY the print is and faint. Its hard to read and find things when you're in a hurry. If they were going to make print so tiny, they should have kept it a darker color so it was easier to read.Im not sure if I'll keep it.

Use this for my PA urgent care rotation. It’s super useful and covers most of what I see. It’s more detailed than some others I’ve seen. Not really able to fit in my white coat, but I keep it at my desk. Highly recommended.

Excellent reference book! I bought this as a NP student, and it's a great reference book for clinicals. Has pertinent info in short formats that are quick to read when you need the info stat!

It's all black and white.Soo not updated information as this version is since 2015.The only thing I liked is that is gives you a quick review of the topic in the form of points.

Excellent! I am a FNP student and take this book to all my clinicals. Fits in my lab coat pocket and is filled with lots of helpful information. Highly recommend!
