My “Go To” Spice for Tuna Steaks
I ordered this Spice mix, because I finally (a little goes a long way) ran out of it (it’s my Favorite “Go To” Spice Mix), I use it constantly on my Sushi Grade Tuna Steaks.I LOVE this mix of McCormick’s Spices, it really is the “PERFECT” accompaniment to high quality, thick Tuna Steaks! I literally need NOTHING else! Just a few shakes of this spice mix on both sides of my Tuna Steak, put it in a hot pan to get a nice sear on both sides, and YUM!Now being a Pescatarian, I obviously do not use it on steaks for myself; however, because of my meat eating family & friends, I know that this spice mix works it’s wonders just as easily on a good Steak.The mix of herbs and spices just work. There are large chunks of course salt, pepper corns, garlic, onion, paprika. I mean when it comes to herbs and spices, You can’t get more basic than that, and with this mix You don’t have to try to figure out the correct ratio of garlic, pepper, etc, to use in order to reach a perfect flavor balance. With this Montreal Steak Seasoning, You simply grab it, pop the top, and shake some of it out and onto that delicious Steak!Something to keep in mind when using this spice mix, is that a little goes a LOOOOONG way! If You over season whatever You are cooking, then Your mouth will end up on fire, because of the mix of pepper corns, You’ve been warned!Now Grab Your own and Enjoy!

Perfect size for heavy hands
This size is perfect for those that season heavily. It’s also great on other meats, lighter meats or more delicate meats just require less seasoning (unless you’re making a crust…yum). I had an even larger container and it lasted much too long for a single person so this one is perfect for a single person that cooks a lot of red meat or a family that doesn’t have red meat most days of the week. It takes well to high heat. A lot of steak seasonings just taste like pepper or the ratio of spices makes them overall still bland but this one I like. The pepper is rough, the pungency and sweetness are just right, and the shaker side of the lid allows easy flow without blockage. It was one the first spice blends I began using as a spice purist lol.

Still a good buy for a versatile mix!
I bought this seasoning frequently when it was first on market, coupons were plentiful, and sales were frequent. Then....the prices went up, coupons decreased, and I stopped buying it very often, but missed it in the kitchen. It's a handy blend which I haven't replicated in homemade form yet. I use it on beef, chicken, and some pork, and even a dash or two in stir fry vegetables as well. This is a better buy than the small jars at the store.UPDATE - 4/2016 - This blend continues to be a staple in our kitchen. It's regular go-to for stir frying veggies; putting into the crockpot's water when cooking chicken for salad; or roasting green beans. I will note that make sure you don't add salt in addition to this blend and taste as you go so whatever you're cooking doesn't get too salty. At times, I stop adding this mix and add individual seasonings IF it needs something else.

Try it you will find so many uses for it
I use it on burgers steaks even seafood I love it it will be a staple in my cabinets for anytime I ever especially want to grill out but I use it inside just the other night I sprinkled some shrimp and scallops with it and then after I saute them and a half a stick of butter I served it over some Frozen ravioli cheese stuffed absolutely restaurant quality you try it you won't want to be without it best burgers ever
