To Clarify & Recommend
I know some people state issues they've had, like not getting the right sound or not gettinf the LED's to work, but I would like to make a point on that.. I personally have converted my car to use outlets that you might find in wall, so I have a Crown 1000 plugged in. I have more room for accommodations than most. However, I did end up buying two of these because the bass was absolutely phenomenal in my living room. Mind you my living room is big. So if you own a large car do not worry, there's A LOT of bass for the price. I say for price bc well... let's be honest.. it doesn't go all the way down the street. If you're looking for everyone to feel your speakers then you're not gonna find it here lol. The case on the other hand has been tuned for the use of an indoor scenario and they did a fine job. Tones come out crisp and clear and you can really feel it in your chest and head. It has great tone thi, and that is something that I was impresses with. As for the LED's... they look amazing. But I know a few people said they have trouble with getting them to work. Simply put they have a different input for them. Why? Well if don't know circuitry you may not get this but TRUST ME it matters. LED lights require a high wattage and a low amperage as well as a very consistent flow that doesn't fluctuate. Knowing my cars set up I was able to use this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D6969UW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1# However you may not be able to use that in your car. So my best hint is to look up the specs that are on that link and find something that does work for you with the same specs. The LED's work fine, but they just need another source of power as they cannot run off of a 1000 watt power source. This source should be small. Somewhere around 12 Volts DC or AC. If you use the lighter socket it will be 12 to 14 Volts AC and you'll need a converter much like the one I have shown. Or you can buy an inverter from radioshack and be able to charge your phone or laptop and still plug this one in. I personally did that... and then I amplified it even more so I could use the Crown 1000 that I own. Together the link I posted and an inverter should total to 60 if you go cheep and 100 if you did like men ai like the one I got for 70 because it monitors your cars battery. On that note, don't forget that most standard car batteries won't work well and will end up dying.. you should really consider upgrading to one meant for powering big stuff like speakers or fridges. As for the sound you need a crossover. All thay means is that it seperates the low frequencies from the high before it gets to your sub. Now if your radio head unit has this then you won't need it. Also if your poweramp has it then you'll be fine as well. These speakers do say that they have crossover built in, but I haven't ever trusted it bc Crown studio amplifiers are known for doing things right. I'm not sure if this sub can go higher or achive different bass and if thats why they have it installed, but I do know that a sub won't produce clear and rich bass if it isn't filtered out properly. And I'm not sure how much I trust or believe their claim. Nevertheless these things are great. They look amazing and the carpeting is phenomenal. The LED's look great, and they shine just as bright in the winter. The speakers warm up fast in the winter and sound just as good. I recommend switching your receiver or head unit to a reversed output if possible. I think it will sound much better. I like the reverb it offers. The ONLY problem i had was the metal strips started to peel up at the end... but I bent them on accident.. it's my fault, but just a heads up, bd careful because they are hard to get back down. There isn't much of a way to bend them back. All in all the sound is great, their cold resistance is top notch and the added LED's are nice. A lot of people complain that having to power them is annoying, but I like it because it's how it should be done. Not to mention if your power unit died, it would otherwise mean ripping apart the whole case. Instead I can just buy a new one. And personally I think they built this smart. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get the best bang for their buck. They blow the competition out of the water and look really cool too.

Inexpensive powerful bass! Great for beginners as far as connecting
This came beautifully packaged. There's one spot on the metal straps where it meets the plexiglass that's bent, but I literally just have to unscrew it and bend it to the shape and it's good. It's really hardly noticeable, but the box is sturdy, clean, and looks amazing with the lights. They come wired to 4 ohms with a single connection, so it makes it easy to wire in, I have it wired to a Rockville DB11 amp which at 4ohms peaks at 880 watts and RMS @350. It is plenty to push these subs. At 1100 peak watts they take less power to run than my single 12 I had. In turn it makes it easier for my vehicle to run and at 4ohms the sound quality is great! There is a ton of bass in the cab of the vehicle without it spilling out and the whole neighborhood hating me for my music. Took me about 5 minutes to wire In to my amp I already had installed. (Most of that was crimping my prong connectors for the lights.) The negative and positive for both the speakers and the lights are the same orientation the lights dont have the polarity labeled. But you just wire the negative to the amp ground and the positive to the remote of the amp and the lights work how they should. There's a really cool paint splatter design in the box, and the plexiglass is crystal clear. For how cheap the set up is the quality is excellent. I've received a ton of compliments already from the sound by people passing by in parking lots and such. I can't say enough good things about this product. The subs are power efficient, powerful, sound amazing, and look really nice with my set up. Great product for beginners, because like I said they're already wired and so it's just the +/- speaker wires and the +/- light wires. Anyone with minimal wiring skills or anyone that does just a little bit of research can wire these up and install an amp. But if you have an amp already whether you or someone else has wired it then its that much easier. Like I said I can't say enough good things about this cheap cost effective product!

Decent
I have own every model of this box since it came out. (only the 12 inch ones) I have always been pleased with the quality of the box and the amount of low-mid bass that they have always produced. This system has all the looks and feel that I have come to expect out of Dual electronics. I am never disappointed with the price of their equipment. Now the bad... The speakers will burn out if you use the wrong type of amp. DO NOT use a 2 ohm output amp. The speakers will fail. U are not paying for quality speakers at all. Dual is selling a quality box with 2 cent speakers. But I can not stay away from this product line because of the price and the quality of the box. It add a great amount of metal shaking power. Just be careful and do not over power the speakers. U can not take the box apart and put better speaker in it because the port is only designed for the two 12's that come with it. The good news is that you can replace the speakers with the upgraded Dual DS from the same product line. You get a better quality speaker and you keep the great sound that this product produces, and the speakers are not very expensive to replace. If you design your system correctly this will add a tight low-mid bass that I have grown accustom to. I will by every box out of this line. I do not use the lights, they are dumb. I Put in 2 blue strobes and made this box a perfect addition to my jeep wrangler. It looks amazing on the Beach at night. ( Ladies love shiny flashy things )

Great Value..Good Quality…Hits Hard!
This was the perfect subwoofer box for my son’s small sedan. These things hit way harder than I thought and for the price you can’t beat what your getting. I powered them with a very old amp I happened to have lying around I was amazed at how good they sounded. You can definitely piss off your neighbors with the amount of bass they are capable of producing. Are they on the level of subs costing 2 or 3 times their cost NO. But they do punch above their peer group in my opinion. Longevity is still to be determined but the box quality is decent so if any woofer gets blown I’ll just pop in another. Well worth your consideration if your just starting and on a tight budget.

Perfect for price, Plug and Play setup, Don’t pass these up
I had been looking for two 12 inch subs for a while now, these are the way to go, don’t bother with pawn shop subs if your short on cash, these are the best budget friendly subs I have ever tried. I paired these with a Boss RIOT 1100 Watt Amp(another very high quality but budget friendly stereo item) and an amp writing kit, for only $250 all together and took ONLY 2 HOURS TO INSTALL, you can’t beat it, I’ve had theses turned up all the way, full blast, and had little to no distortion, and what little distortion there was(at the loudest they can go) was loose items in the vehicle rattling from the powerful bass. The styling is very nice too, especially when using the sound activate LEDs, I’ve had nothing but compliments and questions where I got them despite being a cheaper brand. Highly recommend for someone that wants some heavy hitting bass without taking a huge chunk out of their bank account.(the video doesn’t do the subs justice of just how well they sound)

Awesome subs, awesome box!
The speaker box is very impressive - the best-looking subwoofer box I've yet to set eyes on. I've done hours of searching for the perfect sub box for my fiance, and this one fit the bill. The blue illumination is a plus as well. The mirrored inside really gives the subs a clean look. The subs aren't too bad either. They hit all the low and high bass notes without distortion. They're almost too loud! They make our trunk rattle, so now we need to sound dampen the inside of the car (and replace all the old seals in the car). After a few tweaks and experimentation though, my fiance has been able to adjust the bass so it hits hard but doesn't excessively rattle the trunk. We have these hooked to a 1,200 watt Boss amp, and it's a perfect match! When first purchasing this as a Christmas gift for my fiance, I wasn't super worried about whether the speakers were fantastic or not(although I crossed my fingers and hoped they were), since the box alone is worth the price & the speakers inside could always be replaced. However, Dual didn't skimp on the subs at all so this product gets a 5-star review.

Can you feel the BASS tonight! presented by.Dual Audio.
So I am replacing a hard hitting pioneer 10 inch and a dual 300 rms watt amp. I loved it but it has been 3 years and its time to upgrade, So naturally i go to my local audio place and wow was i surprise how expensive things have gotten. They quoted me @ 400$ for a similar setup to this and my new boss audio 800 rms watt amp. not including install!!!! NO WAY. I then turned to my long life partner amazon for help. I start browsing and i find the perfect bass, I searched by popularity and this sub came up as #1 in subs. There is usually a reason for something being number one. I bought it with the prime shipping and got super excited. Because there is already enough enough regarding this woofer in the reviews i will skip straight to the point. Vehicle: Ford Windstar 99. Subwoofer: Dual BP1204 12-Inch 1100-Watt Amp: Boss AR3000D Monoblock Wireing kit: Boss kit-2 8 gauge kit with all the goodies (ended up being really good for my 14foot van) Sub orientation: I have it all the way in the back facing away from driver. (tried forward and didn't sound good) Verdict. Sound:8 (if you turn the gain all the way up the subs have hard time keeping up with rock and dubstep, perfect for rap and hiphop) ease of install: 10 Reliability: I will update this in a year, although there are people who have had dual products last forever. Overall joy factor: 11 I would recommend this sub and amp combo for anyone looking to spend 200<$ on a easy and fun product.
