An Outstanding Set Of RF Headphones
I ordered these highly-rated headphones on Amazon early in December, from a third-party vendor which was to have shipped them directly via USPS, but alas -- I never received them. A week after I ordered them, my Amazon tracking window reported this: “An exceptional incident has occurred.” The exceptional incident was not explained, but a subsequent chat with Amazon concluded that my headphones had been “lost” in transit. Translation: they were undoubtedly shipped in their original branded packaging and were stolen somewhere in transit. Subsequently and fortunately, I found them available at a local Best Buy for the same price as advertised on Amazon, and having just connected them to my new tv, I can vouch for their quality, which is top-notch. I bought them to pair with a brand-new Samsung QLED 4K Q80C Smart TV and a Samsung HW-Q800C 5.1.2ch Soundbar (both purchased from Amazon), and the Main Purpose of this review is to help other users sort the intricacies of PAIRING and using these headphones successfully with this Samsung tv and soundbar combo. I was initially advised by Samsung to connect the headphone docking station to the tv (not the soundbar), and that sound from the tv-soundbar would need to be manually turned off when using the headphones. I had purchased a high-quality optical cable for this connection but was initially frustrated in my attempts to silence the tv-soundbar output while using the headphones. The simplistic black remote control sticks which came with the tv and the soundbar were useless in figuring out this trick. Their sound settings were of no help whatsoever. But fortunately, I had also purchased a universal remote (the Vtinvan BN59-01315A) also available here on Amazon, which has an “Expert Settings” feature. That solved my problem. What you will likely need to do is go into this settings menu and (1) select the PCM digital audio output, (2) turn the “simultaneous optical output” to “on”, and then use either remote control to turn the tv set sound to its lowest setting in order to mute the sound coming from the tv-soundbar while listening to the very high quality sound from the Insignia headphones. BUT, Do NOT apply the Mute button on the remote to cancel sound from the tv. That will turn off ALL of the sound output. The volume control on the Insignia headphones then works perfectly to adjust the output from the headphones. It’s a bit ironic that you need all this gadgetry to make RF earphones work properly with a “smart” tv, but then, what else is new? But as for the headphones themselves, they certainly live up to their online reviews as one of the best headphones available for comfort, simplicity and pure clarity of sound. For me, the sound from these headphones is even superior to the surround sound generated by the tv-soundbar combo alone. I can highly recommend them. But be careful how and where you order them.

Good set of tv ears
If you have trouble hearing the TV, this ear set is really effective. Good sound quality, comfortable to wear. The volumn can be a bit tricky to find. But once you nail down your comfort level, you rarely have to touch it. Quality product. Recharges quickly. Takes up very little room.

Stopped working after 6 months
UPDATE 2/1/2022. Unfortunately, these stopped working 6 months after I bought them. The headset and docking station stopped "talking" to each other, so quit working. I contacted the manufacturer, and at first they walked me through possible ways to fix the problem, but none of those fixes worked. Then I heard from the manufacturer again saying I bought these from an unauthorized dealer, so they couldn't help me. So, don't buy these from Amazon if you want to make sure you will have help if needed. I certainly won't buy this product again, from anywhere.Original Review July 2021I've had these a few months and so far am happy with them. They were pretty easy to set up, and the instructions give several configurations depending on how you want to use them. I watch TV with them, and what I really like is that I can hear them even if I don't want to cover my whole ear. I often just set them beside me and can hear them fine, without bothering the neighbors on the other side of the TV wall. They do have a quirk, but it might just be my quirk: When they are charged and I take them off of the charging stand, the sound comes on and then goes back off. When I place them on the stand again until the red light comes on, then take them off again, the blue light comes on, and the sound comes on and stays on, which is fine. As I say, it may be my quirk in the way I set it up, but it is not a problem and they work fine.

Great For TV
These are great headphones for TV listening. I have a TCL Roku TV in a guest room that has no bluetooth. I tried using an aptx low latency bluetooth transmitter/receiver with like headphones and every combination ended up with a significant audio lag time. Part of this problem is there are many bluetooth headphones and ear buds that say they are low latency but are actually not. My transmitter verifies this and after buying multiple ear buds that didn’t work I decided to try these RF types instead. Perfect right out of the box. Hooked them up in minutes and no audio lag at all. They are very comfortable with very good sound, do a decent job of cancelling external sound, and volume can be controlled with your TV remote. There are several hook up up options and I used the 3.5m jack on the TV. I did get an open box item for $20 that was like new which makes this a truly great deal. These go for up to $120 on some sites. Prices on Amazon fluctuate between $20 for open box to $95 new. Open box on eBay routinely go for under $25. It does appear the battery cannot be replaced but with the amount I plan to use them I estimate they will last for 3-5 years.

Work great
I like that you can hook them up to your TV and still hear the TV. So one person can wear the headphones and some one else can watch the same TV and hear the tv.

Works well
These work well and have really good sound. My only complaint are the control buttons on the headphones. They are black and hard to see and just awkward to use. If you turn it off between uses, the charge will last longer without putting it on the charging station.

The headphones are wireless.
These headphones are great for my husband because he can’t hear well. He can turn the tv down low so not to disturb me and can still hear his programs clearly.

Good purchase
The sound and comfort are quite good. Distance away still functioning was good. The charge could last longer.
