What kind (size) of screen will be best for this projector?

It depends entirely upon how far from the wall you want to mount your projector. If you search for projectorcentral dahtcom go to their Projection Calculator Pro and put in the model number PJD5533w. Be sure to change the Aspect Ration to 16:9 You will find that in a room with ambient light, you want to mount the projector a maximum of 14 feet 6 inches from the screen. This will give you a horizontal image of 127 inches. (62"x111"). If you get screen material from Carl's Place (here on Amazon) you can get most material up to 71"x126" for standard shipping rates. It will come rolled in a tube so that there are not creases. I bought the FlexiGray from him because my projector is in the Man Cave/Bar/ Casino where there is ambient light and I wanted enhanced contrast in a room that wasn't pitch black (very happy with the results). This projector will throw a much larger image (check the calculator) The result will be a loss of brightness, and a reduction in image quality. Also, you may find that you will have to settle for using a painted wall as your screen. This projector does not have much of a throw range, so you should calculate your screen size based on where you want to mount the projector, or base your projector location on your desired screen size. Is it dual voltage? Will it work for 220V 50Hz?

Yes it is auto changing dual voltage. The information plate on the projector states that it is 110-220vac. I'm currently in a country that is 220vac and it works with no issues. just plug and play. You will have to use an adapter to fit the style of plug in your area such as UK style receptacle or purchase a computer cord to replace the one from the factory.

Will this projector stream SBS 3D movies from a media player directly? Do I just need the 3D Glasses?

Yes.you only need the glasses and activate the 3d sbs in the projector menu.

Is this better than the Optoma H180X ?

Unfortunately I did not review the projector you asked about but I can tell you about the ViewSonic PJD5533W WXGA. I bought the View Sonic for showing movies outdoors and I couldn't write in words how this performed more than I ever thought possible. I have (4) TV's indoors from 70" plasma's, LCD's and this projector shows as well as any TV I currently own. If not for viewing projectors in highly lighted areas I would NEVER purchase anything except for projection. I currently project onto 122" screen with an inexpensive bluray player and the picture is awesome. This projector would easily project onto a sceen much larger with no issues. Again I don't know anything about the other projector but the View Sonic is amazing. I could only imagine what a $2,000 projector could do.
