All the puns, fun, and fourth wall breaking you would expect from an Elvira comic! The art is lovely and the story is fun, if a bit cheesy. But, what do you really expect?

Just a great book from cover to cover, the art is fantastic, definitely adding this to my must buy list! Cheers!

It’s a cute comic and quite silly. I read it before gifting to my boyfriend and he loves it- the additional art work in it is my favorite part!

The jokes are cute. If you grew up watching the show than this is a wonderful way to revisit Elvira. The artwork is impressive and one of the more enjoyable comics to read.

Elvira’s first comic book issue was a delightful read for Elvira fans who want to go with Elvira on an adventure while her lines dominate the pages. Not anything incredible but it is an enjoyable read.

Elvira runs into to many historic figures in horror.

Elvira Mistress of the Dark – Volume 1: Timescream is a fun comedic romp through the history of horror. After falling into a time-traveling coffin, late night horror movie host Elvira finds herself traveling through time, meeting some of the great literary masters of horror (Shelley, Poe, Stoker) while being chased by Vlad the Impaler. Author David Avallone does a great job at capturing the Elvira character, her sass and wit, and at breaking the fourth wall with some clever satire about comics. The meta humor works quite well, as do Elvira’s trademark sexual puns. And artist Dave Acosta creates a creepy and macabre aesthetic without getting too dark; and captures Elvira’s sexuality without being gratuitous or vulgar. A lighthearted and entertaining graphic novel, Elvira Mistress of the Dark – Volume 1: Timescream is an enjoyable campy adventure. “So, until next time…unpleasant dreams!”

Ok it’s a great book heavy on innuendo the art is brilliant I love it and I can’t wait to read the other two books in the series 😈😁 it’s ELVIRA what’s not to like she’s awesome 🥰 and her books are really well priced and surprisingly easy to find in a variety of different formats I got the old fashioned version in PAPERBACK couldn’t be happier

The artist is brilliant, captured Elvira perfectly, and the writer has done the same with the dialogue. The whole premise of Elvira travelling in time, meeting the great horror writers, chased by Vlad the Impaler is genius. Really enjoyed this comic collection and can’t wait for volume 2!
