Served it's purpose preventing bathroom mold and mildew with healthy humidity level
I bought this about five months ago and have been using it continuously ever since. My boyfriend and I live in an older home and so things like bathroom fans just really aren't up to par. Our master bathroom (only calling it that because it's the bathroom off of our master bedroom...haha) Doesn't even HAVE a fan. I lived with him for about a year and was constantly struggling to keep the bathroom mold and mildew free. I knew it was unhealthy to be around but I couldn't for the life of me prevent it with typical cleaning products. I started reading more about the subject in general and what humidity percentage an area should be kept at to be in a "healthy" range and prevent those two gross little culprits. I realized that our only REAL option was to buy some kind of dehumidifier and thus began my search. When I buy things off amazon (ALL THE TIME <3 ) I scower products and reviews, pouring over reviews until I find something I feel confident in buying as well as satisfied for what I should* be getting for the set price. Obviously, this is the one I chose. I can say that I absolutely do love it and am thankful for it all the time, and now for a few notes:-There is a low humming sound but it's really not loud at all and not an annoying pitch so it's actually kind of calming in a sense if you like background noise sometimes..I can BARELY hear it from bed but it still helps me fall asleep.-LITERALLY no more struggle with mold and mildew. I still clean the bathroom regularly of course but now it's just standard cleaning and not at all comparable to the chemically potent scrubbing I did before.-It's small enough that we just keep it on the back of the toilet and it takes up maybe a third of that space, not bothersome at all.-It's super easy to maintain being that you can easily remove the reservoir (automatic shut off when full) dump it, slide it back in (clicks in place) and then flip the switch on again.-When we shower the bathroom humidity could easily reach the 90's (I bought the AcuRite 00613A1 Indoor Humidity Monitor to see how well this little guy was working) within a half hour of showering the humidity will be back down to low eighties, another half hour in the seventies, and then it goes at a faster rate after that-keeping our bathroom at about 40-60% humidity when not being showered in. Please note that we live in Georgia currently and these last months we've had says in the 20's and others in the 80's so the relative humidity effect s what it actually should be inside. Point being that this dehumidifier has served it's purpose perfectly by preventing mold and mildew and keeping our bathroom/bedroom at a healthy humidity level. (I saw bedroom too because the spillover from the bathroom no longer affects the bedroom)As far as I'm conerned, for the purpose I bought it for and the price point I think this product is awesome and I have no cons to write about it.Hope this helps!AcuRite 00613A1 Indoor Humidity Monitor

You Own an RV, you need this
Im pretty sure you have mold issues in your RV or in your closet and you are tired of buying those throwaway dehumidifers. Also you have tried those rechargeable Eva-Dry ones and just cant figure out why the mold wont stop? Correct? You have then come to the correct place. If you are in a hurry, Yes, this thing works perfectly. Go get it. if you need more details or convincing.Dehumidifiers are of 3 types : Transformation, Absorption or Extraction. In absorption method you use chemicals that change into liquid by using the moisture where they are placed, thus keeping the surrounding air dry. Dessicants like silical gel, grow in size by absorbing the moisture around their placement. This is the silica gel packets you typically see in electronics or other stuff you buy off the shelf. There is the 3rd and slightly expensive method - Your AC! It uses a condenser to convert the water molecules into liquid water. Thats why you see water drips out of our AC outside your house! This device is the miniature version of that AC and runs on low power. Since there are chemicals or silica involved, you can endlessly remove moisture from your RV or closet, so long as this device is powered*.The reason for the asterisk is the water is stored in a small container. You need to empty this container or the device stops its extraction. There are workarounds on YouTube and I will share mine here.I drilled a small hole for a silicon tubing to fit through and then took that long tube and connected it to a rubber sink stopper through another hole. The hole needs to be slightly lower than the top mark (or even middle) so that water can overflow through this pipe. You also need to ensure the sink is closed tight otherwise you are just circulating the same water, especially the place where you put this thing is humid as Florida! If its your closet, just make sure you check on this device every few days depending on how humid your place is.

Almost great.
I really like this little dehumidifier for my little laundry room. It actually works. Could it remove more moisture? Possibly, but who knows. It is very quiet. It is small, which is perfect because my laundry room is smaller than my bedroom closet. However, there is no easy way to pick it up. There is no recess for fingers or a handle. If it sits on the floor (as mine does) you have to bend all the way down to grasp it with both hands. I've thought about using super glue to add a strap, but I haven't bothered yet. The reservoir holds a good amount of water, far more than ever collects in it, so I don't have to empty it often.I think it was a good choice, and I'm glad I bought it.
