I was skeptical about these after reading the mixed reviews. These mittens are made of a soft flannel and have thicker cotton wrist bands instead of the typical elastic found in your average scratch mitten. The thick cotton wrist sets these mittens apart from the others because these mittens actually stay on and my newbie is a little crazy about rubbing/scratching her face and head when she wants to eat. Second, there isn't any elastic to irritate bavy's delicate skin. The thicker cotton wrists makes it slightly more difficult to get these on the baby, especially if there is a moving target. I solved the problem by putting my newborn's hand in a fist and quickly slipping the mittens over and that is it! I also wash these inside out and dry in the dryer on low delicate cycle to prevent the flannel from pilling. They shrink a little in the wash but can easily be stretched out and it beats air drying as suggested!

These mittens are a MUST BUY! We got these for our newborn son and they fit him very well. The other products we tried were too big and would easily slip off his hands. These mittens stayed on but also gave him room to move his fingers around a bit and were not crammed. We are STILL using them for him now and he is 4 months old.The material is nice and soft but still strong enough. These are well worth the price you pay for it! The mittens were over all an excellent purchase and I will buy again in the future!

Love these! Been using these for well over a month now and I've yet to have any fall of my LO's hands unlike a lot of other mittens. It is a bit sterile looking but I could care less how cute it looks as long as my LO doesn't end up with scratches all over his face. These mittens fits really well without the band part being too tight around the wrist. They're big enough where there is more than enough room for the LO's hands to stretch out.

I have a scar on my face from scratching myself while still in the hospital, no scratch mittens are always a MUST for baby shower/new baby gifts for me! These work great & stay on well, they're just a little snug around the wrists for my 3-month old grandson (he is a very "healthy" big boy though). However, if they weren't as snug, they may come off easier - so it's a bit of a toss up. I've bought them multiple times (this same product) and would buy again and recommend to others!

I got these for our son when he was born because I thought they'd work better (stay on better) than socks on his hands to keep him warm and prevent him from scratching himself. They do work better than socks for staying on him longer, but not by much ... he still is able to get them off in a matter or 10 minutes or so. My husband didn't like how hard they can be to get on because the wrist band is so tight, but I was fine with that so long as they would stay on him. Our son's hands also out grew these mittens quickly, but he is a big boy (8 lbs 6 ozs at birth).

These mittens were actually too big for my infant at 7 pounds, but even then were still difficult to put on as the bands around the wrists are not elastic. Now that he is almost 15 pounds, they can still be pulled on with a bit of a struggle, and actually stay on my active baby. The fabric is also a bit thicker than most of the other no scratch mittens available but the tradeoff is that they are less breathable and his hands get a bit sweaty. However, at $5 for two pairs, it's not a bad deal though i'm not sure it's worth the trouble to get them on.

Good idea to prevent yours baby thumb sucking. We had and still have this thing. Our baby like so much to suck her thumbs. It become more anoing not only for us but also for baby, We know that is a bad habit and it is better to prevent it in the early stages, so we tried this mittens. I can say it works, but after some times those mittens become more soil.

I bought this for my daughter so she went scratch her face and so they stay on. The ones that she has usually comes off, at least one of them anyways. These work good because they stay on but they are kind of big. They look like little chef hats on her hands and these leave her skin red, kind of dry and rashy looking when she touches her face. So I wouldn't use these. Especially since babies have such sensitive skin.

I read some reviews about these being too small and not fitting over the babies hands .. I decided to try them anyways but should have listened to the reviews. They didn't work for my newborn baby .. the openings are too small. Shame, bc they look cute and feel like they would have been soft. I just ended up throwing them in the garbage.

I purchased these as a first time mum terrified my baby would rip his face apart with their tiny dagger-like nails when he was born. I put these on our newborn who was in the 53rd percentile and they fell off immediately. He is now 8 weeks old and has big hands and they still slide off. I am glad I didn't pay a lot for them as I have literally never been able to use them.

Absolutely no stretch in the band makes these very hard to get on baby's hands. The material is quite thin as well. All understandable issues for the price range but next time I would just buy the more expensive ones to make sure they are better quality.

Bought these as an add on new baby gift for friends. Super practical and simple. Love them! Packaging they come in is nice and cute. Looks like quality product, was comfortable gifting.

Le seul problème est le tissu, c'est comme une flanelle et mon bébé gratte à l'intérieur en bougeant ses mains et ça fait des morceaux de tissus entre ses doigts même après plusieurs lavage.
