I'm suspect of other reviews. I'm a pro installer and this projector has serious shortcomings.
This is a quick, preliminary review to hopefully help others make an informed decision about this projector. It promises a lot and delivers...well, not quite so much. I'm going to compare the Artlii to the BenQ MW535a I ended up purchasing. I do professional A/V installs and have installed 100+ projectors since 2011, of every type (LED, DLP, etc) and costing up to ~$12K. I have a friend on a VERY limited budget and was intrigued by the Artlii line and the rave reviews. One person claims the Artlii is comparable to $1000 projector, which is so unbelievable untrue that it calls the review into question. For reference - I'm projecting and viewing from ~10ft onto a 100" screen and I used the THX Tune-up app for iOS through HDMI to do calibration of both projectors. Both were ceiling mounted, upside down. Both required a little keystone adjustment - the Benq has a digital keystone correction and was much easier and more accurate to use than the manual keystone of the Artlii. The Benq also includes batteries for it's remote, the Artlii did not. While the image of the Artlii is bright, the picture quality is...not very high quality. Maybe fine for a $200 projector, but don't expect colors to be true. The BenQ MW535a ($369) is a worlds worth of difference in picture quality - clean, accurate, much more depth, truer colors, etc. Side by side the BenQ blows the Artlii away.Even after tweaking the Artlii, it didn't come close to looking as good as the BenQ (images coming soon). The Artlii suffers from serious anti-aliasing artifacts and screen-door effect (where you can see the outlines/edges of individual pixels). And, yes, I tried with noise reduction at every possible level (a menu option in the Artlii). I suspect the processor of the Artlii is unable to keep up, as the Benq suffered no such issues. This projector (at least the one I got) had a serious light-leak on the right hand side and edge blurring was prominent, despite their claims to the contrary. If I got a 'bad unit', it would speak to the quality control. There was a funny smell - off-gassing of whatever manufacturing process I'm sure. The BenQ did not have any odor. The fan noise is also significantly higher than the BenQ - yes, moderate volume will drown out either one, so this is simply a comparison. At the same distance, the Artlii default image size had about a 15% larger image than the Benq with it's zoom at the highest level. My recommendation - don't set your expectations too high. Save up or simply spend another $169 and revel in the incredibly better image quality of the BenQ.

So impressive
The media could not be loaded. I had high expectations and the Energon 1 did not disappoint. It packs a big punch for it's price point. It produces a crisp, bright, sharp picture image. The two built in speakers provide excellent stereo surround. The most important feature for me is the zoom. In my space I do not have the ability to move the projector forward or backward. The unique zoom feature allows me to adjust the image to meet my screen size. See video for a demo of this feature. The Energon 1 provides a great value at it's price point. Well done Artlii!

Best budget projector for 200 dollars or under
The artlii projector. this has to be the best projector at the 200 or under price range. The projector has a sleep look and design. The picture quality is bright and clear given that it is at 720p. The picture is also very bright. I love the new zooming function because it doesn't require a large room to put this projector in. I use this projector in my cinema room which is not to big and the zoom functions helps with this. I also notice this projector has a noticeably improvement in the edge sharpness and you can see the subtitles clearly when watching a movie. One down side is the noticable fan noise but you wont hear it once you turn on the volume of the speakers. The speaker are some of the best i have heard on a projector. I own a 800 dollar projector and the speakers on this one are superior.Pros: Easy to use and set up, design, bright, loud speaker, and new zoom feature which doesnt require a large room, and screen edges look sharp.Cons: noticeable fan noise but volume will drown out the noise.Over all i am pleased with this item and would recommend it.

Nice home theater projector
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Energon1 projector for use in watching movies and doing some projections at meetings. The overall brightness is good for a normal size room with the lights on. If using in a large room (like a gym) then I looks like you may want to have the lights dimmed some. The color quality is great from edge to edge of the screen compared to other projectors. The quality of the built in stereo speakers is outstanding! You can use the built in stereo speakers to be able to play movies, which means one less item to need to carry with you if you travel with the projector. This is a huge win as I was always carrying around a set of speakers or a sound bar. This projector has a newer touch screen controls that in my initial testing works well. The packaging of the projector was extremely nice and the box will be great for moving the projector from one place to the other securely.

Quality projector at a bargain price
The media could not be loaded. This projector is outstanding. I use projectors as my main platform for watching TV so I have tried outany projectors but this is the best one I've had by far. The bulb is super bright so I'm able to continue using it even when it's sunny and bright in the house. The speaker on the projector itself is amazing and I no longer have to aux up speakers to get a quality sound from my projectors. The size of the screen is awesome a d the fact that you can zoom and adjust the size using format settings is fantastic. The picture is clearer than any projector I've ever seen. Overall, the whole projector is wonderful and I don't have the words to explain just how much better it is than most other budget projectors on the market. With this projector, you're getting the quality of a $1000 projector for just $200, I have only good things to say about this product. I love it!
