Bought this to use for my acrylic cup since it broke. So far it has worked. I was able to glue the acrylic piece to the acrylic cup. The other super glues didn’t work at all and this one has. Nice work.

I really enjoy creating art, and I have a number of glues and adhesives I lean-on when I work, and this is one I keep in my arsenal at all times. Loctite Ultra Gel Control Super Glue is one of my favorites because it adheres to so many things, and is more of a gel in nature than some more liquidy options. Because it's a gel, you have a lot more control when you're using it, and it isn't as susceptible to drips. It goes on clear and dries clear without clamping, and as long as you keep the top tight, it should last a nice long while. When using it, it should be held in place for about a minute, and then left undisturbed for about ten minutes. This gives you a little bit of wiggle room for most tasks. A full cure is achieved in 24 hours. It features a rubber-infused technology that creates a flexible bond, but resists impact, twisting and pulling. It works in all temperatures and conditions, and can be used for repairing figurines, costume jewelry, cameras, toys, metal car parts, and more. It bonds leather, cork, paper, cardboard, wood, chipboard, fabric, metal, ceramic, rubber and hard plastics such as Plexiglas, polycarbonate, polystyrene and PVC. Love this applicator, even after months of non-use the flow is still perfect. Can't ask for a better product! Won't ever buy that other garbage name brand again!

I needed to attach rubber from a shoe to a sheet of silicone. I had previously tried six different families of tape/glue (including Gorilla Glue and 300LSE), and nothing bonded the rubber with any strength. And everyone knows you can't bond silicone, except with more silicone. Imagine my surprise when I found this glue sticks to both substrates and made a strong bond. That's not even supposed to be possible. (Note that it doesn't bond all silicones.) The "toughened" aspect of this glue also works well--I glued a few small pieces of galvanized sheet metal, and had a very difficult time getting them apart. Glue normally won't hold sheet metal like this, since the metal bends and the glue snaps. Resistance to this effect is called "peel strength", and this glue has it. (Warning: gluing metal requires surface prep.) As much as I like this glue, the dispenser has a problem. It's precise, fast to open/close, and you won't get glue on your finger, but it takes much more force than expected to get the glue out. As I use more of the tube, it gets harder and harder to squeeze. I was almost unable to do my latest repair because I needed both hands to squeeze the glue dispenser. I think that before the tube runs out, I'll have to stop using it due to not being able to squeeze hard enough.

Nice that it is a gel and doesn't run. Easy to use with the side grips. Dries clear and quickly. I glued a small magnet to ABS plastic. I tried to pry my pieces apart about 10 minutes after applying, and couldn't do it, so it's very effective even not waiting the full cure time.

I have purchased the gel and original loctite multiple times from Amazon because it is amazing! It's ease of use and the control of distribution is on point. It dries so quickly and lasts. The only thing I have had an issue with it is,water. Too much contact with water and the glue loses its adhesive qualities. I have used it even to fix my glasses when I broke them. Give it a try it's great price and dries quickly!
