Increases volume without being sticky or making hair crunchy
Light but really does add volume. Doesn't weigh down hair unless you use WAY too much. Very good price/value. Used to use the previous version of the Frieda volume hairspray. Don't know if it actually changed, but at some point I stopped using it because it seemed the formula had changed and it didn't work as well. I tried this again recently - and I'm so glad I did. It sprays a fine mist so it's not putting too much lacquer in any one spot. Sometimes you have to clean the sprayer a little bit between uses. It gets a little clog. RUn your fingernail over the sprayer once or twice and you're good to go again. I love this formula even better than the one I used a long time ago. I seems to spray a wider, finer mist. Maybe it's just the sprayer itself! Nice scent, not too strong and doesn't linger on your hair.

Makes your hair really stiff
I was expecting strong hold, however I wasn’t expecting my hair to feel “dirty” once I brushed it out. Same effect as the freeze type hairsprays. I like this brand in almost every hair product, this is not one of them. It smells good, and I suppose some could say it’s of good quality. It depends on your own expectations and how you want your hair to feel. I took a star off because it is the opposite of what I like, although that strictly a personal opinion. How it works may be perfect for you so no negatives other than my own opinion for my type of hair. Still love the brand though!

Actually Works On My Fine, Thin Hair
I have about five different brands of hairspray that I am going to get rid of. I went through a phase where I really was on a hunt for a hairspray that added volume and hold to my ultra fine, thin hair. On a whim I tried this one and was super pleased. It DID add volume and held my style all day! My hair actually looked decent the next day as well. Believe me, if this works on my hair, it will work for you, no kidding. It also didn't take the shine away from my hair as the other brands did. (The kind that looks like you used A LOT of hairspray. It shouldn't be obvious that you've saturated your hair) I was ready to give up...I bought lower priced spray and higher end spray. None worked. This did.Edit: Turn your hair upside down and use this spray. Then, when you come back up, you will look crazy. 🤪 But it's easy to gently use your fingers to smooth it back into your style. This adds even more volume!

I really wanted to love it *sad face*
Let me start off by saying that if you're only looking for hairspray with mega hold and literally nothing else, this may be the product for you. However, if you're expecting (normal, attractive) root lift, volume, and soft touch, you may end up as disappointed as I am. Maybe my definition of root lift and volume are completely wrong because my hair was large-and-in-charge, just not in a good way. I felt like I belonged in a Glamour Shots photo...in Dallas, TX ...circa 1985. I used to hang out at my aunt's beauty shop when I was a kid, helping her sweep, answer the phone, and be her gopher. The memory of her styling a woman's freshly permed hair came flooding back to me in that moment. Her voice, in that sweet southern twang, saying, "the higher the hair, the closer to Jesus. Now, hand me the Aqua Net and the teasing brush, honey."I tried to finger comb it down, but I almost lost a couple of digits in the process, so I attempted to drag a brush through it. Somehow, that just made it worse. My hair felt like straw and I started looking less Dolly Parton and more Krusty the Clown. Things went downhill in a hurry. What started as a super cute hairdo ended up as a messy bun on top of my head. And not even a cute messy bun, like a disastrous attempt at corralling the insanity that was my hair at that point. I was so disappointed because I'd heard such good things about this hairspray. I bought a two pack because I was so confident that it would be amazing. I tried to give them away to my girlfriends, but they weren't impressed either. So, do with that information what you will. If you buy and use it, all I can say is... May the Beauty Goddesses smile upon you and spare you from my experience!

The best hairspray I’ve used.
This spray is great for my fine hair. It holds gently and I can brush through it when needed. I appreciate the lack of fragrance.I am impressed with this brand and will continue to use all the hair products.

Great mousse, but often times the compressed air and mousse mixture goes bad half way through
So I have been buying this mousse for several years now. And I always buy a 2 or 3 pack from Amazon. However, the last few orders I have placed, the mousse mixture goes bad HALF WAY through using the bottle. This mousse is not cheap, compared to the other brands, so having to toss a bottle that's almost half full is just ridiculous. If you have used this brand and this specific model for a while, I'm guessing you have had the same experience. Usually, when you invert the bottle and dispense the mousse, it's a very nice airy blob, which is perfect for touching through thin hair (which is my case and why I pay the price for this stuff). It works wonders on thin hair, as it doesn't weight things down. However, the last 2-3 orders I have placed, 1 of the two bottles goes flat. What I mean by flat, is when I dispense the mouuse, it's not that nice full foam, it's just like a soupy liquid. Which is completely useless and can't be used at all. So I end up tossing the bottle. Unfortunately, that means I have tossed about 3 or 4 of these bottles when they are still half full.Another issue with this, is the cheap plastic top button dispenser. If you accidently drop this thing, it seems to always fall head first and it will snap off the dispenser button. Then it's toast. There is no real way to use it, as it won't sit back on the top to dispense the foam.I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't have this problem with the mousse until about the last year. Perhaps there is some issue with something they changed in the formula or the way they add in the compressed air. I'm going to have to start looking for an alternative.
