Updated Review: Working Well. Previous: Not so sure about Safe Surround
I just wanted to update my previous review. After using this for just over a week now with my newborn, it is working out well. She's small enough that there is no risk of hitting her head on the hard plastic edges and the pad stays put on the dresser. I feel it is a good simple solution for those using a regular dresser as a changing table. Instead of buying a wood topper and a pad, this "safe surround" pad with the rubber feet does the job. It's also nice that it is surrounded on four sides so you don't have to worry as much about baby falling out (not that you would ever leave a baby unattended anyway but still). So far so good.________________________I just got the safe surround pad today. I ordered it because of the rubber feet and because I am placing the changing pad on top of a dresser. Rather than purchasing a wood topper to mount to the dresser or letting a regular pad slide around dangerously, I figured I'd try this pad and see how it went.Mind you, my baby is due in March so I haven't tried it on an actual infant yet but here are the problems I anticipate right off the bat:1. The "safe-surround" is comprised of a hard and fairly sharp-cornered plastic frame. The edges of this are hard and exposed (not padded). I am worried that I will accidentally bang my baby's head or other body parts against them, especially when she is old enough to start resisting diaper changes. Even as a very young baby, it would be easy to accidentally bang the edges especially during sleep deprived midnight changings in dim light. This seems to cancel out the other possible safety benefits of this pad such as the non-skid rubber feet and the sturdy four wall construction.2. So long as the rubber feet aren't covered up they work pretty well but are not perfect. More problematic is the fact that the pad covers I bought keep covering up the feet no matter what I do to keep them up. They are standard size, too. This basically renders the rubber feet useless. Maybe this can be solved by finding a shallower changing pad cover?3. Changing pad cover doesn't fit snugly on it. It is baggy and weird. Those are the biggest issues I see. I am going to see if it can be worked with somehow. If not, it will have to go back and I'll have to purchase one of those wooden dresser topper things instead.

It is part of a set we inherited and the whole set looks great, but I didn't want to have to drill ...
I wanted a diaper changing pad to put on top of an antique desk in my daughter's nursery. It is part of a set we inherited and the whole set looks great, but I didn't want to have to drill into the desk or wall. This one has 4 little feet with rubber on them and it never moves. My daughter has been turning over and fighting us on diaper changes since she was 4 months old and is now 7 months and we get into wrestling matches. My husband will pull the straps down pretty tight on this and that helps. I just constantly fight her. Either way, this thing doesn't move. I LOVE it. My mother came into town once though and didn't realize you shouldn't cover the feet with the fabric cover and it was moving all over the desk. I was so confused because it had been so amazing before it seemed strange it would move so easily. Once I figured it out, I pulled the fabric back off the rubber feet and it was back to not budging. Best purchase for her room!

Fits my 5 month old and great safety features!
Perfect! Me and my husband couldn't be happier! Our baby boy is already 5 months old and 50th percentile in height and weight so hes not a little newborn and he fits perfectly in it! When he gets bigger I can use the top part as a head rest to give me extra inches or even rest his legs over since it soft enough. Hes rolling over so I love the non slip legs, higher walls, and anchor you can drill into a dresser changer top. The seat belt keeps him from rolling over with messy diapers. I bought the Storkcraft Avolon 6 drawer dresser so it has no front rail and all the safety features are perfect for it (non-slip legs and anchor you can drill in). I had did a week on research for a changer for a 5 month old and I hope I can save someone else time in saying we love this and wish we purchased it from the start!

Wish it was longer but still a good purchase
My boy is a year old now and this changing pad is too small now. Technically he is off the growth charts for his height so I do recognize that, because he was wearing 24 month clothes by 10 months of age (33 inches). But the reason I took off one star is because I would have liked it to be longer. His feet hang off the edge completely. I’m talking 4 inches over. I will post a photo of that. But it was great otherwise. The cats love sleeping in it.For normal to small babies, you will probably get 2 years out of this thing and that makes it worth it. I didn’t know I was gonna have a giant boy.

Good quality
I did not notice a plastic smell, like other reviews have noted. I really like the raised sides of this changing pad, which helps me feel better with my squirmy baby! I don't have it on a changing table/dresser; it just gets stashed and pulled out as needed. I've only ever used it with a liner on top, so I'm not sure how well the water proofing holds up. It looks like it will be big enough to continue using for quite some time. This works perfectly for our needs, and I'm very happy with it.(Side note: Our pediatrician's office has one, too, and I think my son recognizes it from his house, and feels comforted by it!)

... for our newborn baby boy and I am very happy with it
We are using this for our newborn baby boy and I am very happy with it. It is so lightweight and nice to look at and I think the sides being higher than other similar products will come in very handy when he is old enough to move about. I also like the adhesive option to connect it to drawers so it doesnt move around. Right now our baby's room is too crowded so this goes either on the bed in his room (which doubles as a guest room) or on the couch. Its portability is great. I highly recommend it. I did not get a sheet for this. I just put a waterproof pad on it and if that gets dirty we put it in the washing machine.

Me encanta
Me encanta, muy seguro y cómodo. Materiales buenos y sobre todo no se mueve de su lugar así que cambiar a la bebé es mucho más sencillo.
