An excellent trilogy of books. Enjoyed them all.
I had already read the first book "The Passage" and enjoyed it so much I decided to go for the two sequels. Luckily the deal for all three books was extremely good value, so I purchased the set and read the other two. The story starts in the present and then carries on in a later timeline. Very exciting and compulsive reading with several twists and turns. Thoroughly recommend this Trilogy.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
Best end-of-the-modern world apocalyptic thriller series ever. And I mean that. Re-read all of them four times. Great writing. Great plot. Great characters. A supremely gifted author. What more do you need?

This is an early review...
So, I got this book trilogy this evening and I began reading the first book, The Passage. I got turned onto this trilogy as I binge watched the TV show of the same name between Thursday and Friday this week, and I wanted to know more about the story. I'm a suckered for vampire themed things!Anyway, I'm currently on page 31 which is the first page of chapter 3, and so far I'm liking it. The author is very descriptive which allows me to easily mentally visualise the scenes he writes about.Although, this is also a downside for me personally. I have ADHD so focusing is a huge deal for me. I'm finding that this book is harder to read because it is so descriptive, that's not a negative on the book at all though, it's only an observation of how much more challenging it is for me to focus on focusing to read the words. I've just had an epiphany! Maybe this is why I tend to steer towards YA books; because they tend to require less focus.I will not let my ADHD focusing issue steer me away from this book though. The story intrigues me, even more so because it's different to the TV show. Most notably is Amy.***SPOILERS******SPOILERS******SPOILERS*** In the show she is a black 10 year old orphaned girl called Amy Bellafonte. In the book she seems to be a white girl who is 6 years old, her mother isn't dead, and her name is Amy Harper Bellafonte.

Amazing so far
Half way through the first book. The Stand is probably my favourite novel ever - I have read literally hundreds! This is the closest in scope character depth and general post apocalyptic doom gloom and general horror and shock treats for the reader! Highly recommended amazing price for such lengthy volumes which I am steaming through.

Epic Enigma Unveiled: A Journey Through Justin Cronin's 'Passage' Trilogy
The "Passage" trilogy by Justin Cronin is a captivating journey through a genre-blending narrative. In "The Passage," Cronin crafts a unique vampiric apocalypse, while "The Twelve" expands the saga with new characters and deeper lore. "The City of Mirrors" masterfully concludes the epic, intertwining past and present. As a reader, I found myself intrigued by certain characters, sparking a hope for spin-off books that could delve into their untold stories and answer lingering questions. Cronin's ability to create complex characters and a vivid world makes the trilogy not only a compelling read but also leaves room for potential exploration beyond the final pages.

Top 5 post-apocalyptic series or book ever.
This trilogy is hands down top tier storytelling at its gritty, dark, empathetic and inspiring best. Characters are real and pull you in, the antagonist is anything but cookie cutter bad guy, even his minions have depth. This story is up there with Stephen Kings 'The Stand' and Robert McCammons 'Swan Song'. Must read for anyone who enjoyed those books or anything with a post-apocalyptic setting.

Had to buy it
I checked out "The Passage" from the local library, but I don't read as often as I'd like so I end up taking forever to finish a book. I got about halfway through before it was due and someone else had it on hold so I could not renew it. Saw this set here and, for me, it was an obvious choice to buy the whole set.I have not read the second two books, but "The Passage" is a great read. Part sci-fi and part suspense/thriller. Keeps you guessing and interested chapter after chapter. Highly recommend!
