Perfect!
These were the perfect size for our dog. Good for indoor use to keep tidy or in boots for outside to add an extra layer. I feel bad putting wet booties on my dog so these are a nice layer for those rainy weeks .

Accurate
I was using vet tape to help keep my dog's Ruffwear shoes on during snowy hikes (he gets debilitating toe snowballs), but the vet tape would fall down or just not keep the shoes on. I've used the socks a few times and noticed that the shoes stay on better and the shoes don't irritate his feet as much! Definitely grab these, your dog with thank you! The sizing was accurate, I did size down because I didn't want the sock to be baggy and take up too much space in the shoe.

Makes boots usable
Bought these for my dog after he showed obvious discomfort wearing Kurgo booties. I bought a size smaller socks than the shoes. They are a little difficult to get on without a 3rd hand, but stretch nicely and stay on. My pup has shown no more discomfort. I have heard people use toddler socks, but a pack of toddler socks was the same price as this. Granted, I only get one pair, but I only needed one pair. Definitely pricey in that regard, but I am overall very pleased.

Socks for Dogs
You're paying a lot extra because there's a dog on the package. You could totally make this out of a pair of old socks after a 5 minute YouTube video. But you're here because you're not going to do that, right? Spend up, struggle to get them on your dog, and then good luck with the shoes. Pro-Tip: set a good precedent by hitting them with a quick treat after every shoe, the first three or four times you put the shoes on. Make sure you check their paws for brushburn after every little while with the shoes on. Especially in the snow.

Short
The socks were much shorter than they look in the pictures. They are at most twice was long as they are wide. Otherwise, they seem well made.

An extra comfort when a dog wears boots
We consider these docks a must when a dog is wearing boots for whatever reason. We have even used the socks on their own inside when a foot requires medication.

Works as intended, but size down if possible.
They definitely help the fit and comfort of the boots themselves. For that, working as intended, and 4 stars. I take one star though because as mentioned, they are not very snug. I bought the size that should have been snug on my dog and they were rather loose. On their own, they would fall off easily. With the boot (ruffwear brand as well, griptrex, also sized appropriately yet still slipped off, thus the need for socks), everything stays relatively in place. I still have a tough time getting everything tight enough. My dog has some tiny little ankles I guess but I measured to fit the paw size as stated and it is still proving difficult.Im sort of out of luck still as these boots and socks were already the smallest I could get for my 27lb shiba inu. Still, my struggles do not mean this is not a quality product. I like them very much. If it were possible to size down again I would in a heartbeat. We will just have to be using some workarounds for proper fit, maybe cutting out some material from the center stretchy part. I just need something to keep my service dog safe!Quick edit: cutting some fabric from the center fold in the boot itself has provided a slightly better fit so the velcro can close tighter. His back paws are slightly smaller and turns out the boots fit better on the front with sock, but on the back is better without. Back is 1.75, front is 2.0.

Not really a history, more of a catalogue
I had high expectations of this book, and I have a long-standing interest in the Ottomans, Moors, and the interplay between Christianity and Islam in Europe. But I feel this book violates the basics of 'history', by being an extensive catalogue of the city and its treasures but doesn't really tell the story. What of the complex interplay between Genoa and Constantinople, and the extensive Italian city within the city? Or the large Jewish community, that ultimately gave us such families as the Rothschild and Ephrussi dynasties?I got tired of reading endless detail about the jewels of the sultan, or of life in the Harem, and didn't feel any flow of life in the city at different times, the machinations of the court, or a sense of its rivalries, conflicts and alliances with Europe.I haven't finished it, and intent to jump forward to see if its becomes more 'historic', but I am certainly not getting much pleasure out of it so far. Disappointing.

A brilliantly written book that gives you the flavour an ere and politics of the day. I could not put it down and as resident of Istanbul it helped me understand the culture and feeling of the city even more so.
