My only real complaint is that the plastic ends are pretty brittle and prone to breaking
The cables work well. My only real complaint is that the plastic ends are pretty brittle and prone to breaking. There is a metal tab that locks the cable into the SATA port, but even a gentle tug is capable of snapping the metal tab piece off of the plastic plug, ruining the cable.I understand that something has to give way when you yank on a "locked-in" plug, but these seem much more brittle than any other SATA cable I've used. On the plus side, you are getting several spares and I'd personally rather have a broken cable than a broken MOBO, so maybe it's not such a terrible thing.

Pros: durable, affordable. Cons: stiff, bulky
These are solid cables at an appropriate price. The connectors are bulkier than most due to metal release tabs, and the jacketing is stiff but durable. They may not be well-suited for particularly small or tight computer cases in which cables must be bent sharply. It was not easy for me to use the 90-degree connectors on multiple stacked hard drives.Pros: - Durable jacket - Cables have both a 90-degree and flat plugCons: - Release tabs are somewhat bulky and may be difficult to access in certain environments - Stiff cabling may be unideal for compact mobos / case designs

Not SATA III cables!
These SATA cables are advertised as "SATA III 6.0 Gbps" cable but are in fact the slower SATA II 3.0 Gbps cables. DO NOT BUY if that matters to you. It should matter.UPDATE: There's a lot of confusion on the difference between the SATA III 6.0 Gbps cable and a slower SATA II 3.0 Gbps cable. In fairness to the seller a high quality SATA II 3.0 Gbps cable could in fact be faster then a low quality SATA III 6.0 Gbps cable. This just makes it harder to determine if you're truly getting what was advertised. In my opinion, if these SATA cable are truly SATA III 6.0 Gbps, then it should say that on them just like my Asus SATA III 6.0 Gbps cables do. The seller insists that they are SATA III 6.0 Gbps cables, so since I cannot technically dispute that, i raised my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star.

Great price, but the fit is mighty tight
I purchased an SSD and decided to get a set of cables because the price seemed right. The cables work, but the fit into the SATA fitting on my motherboard was very, very tight -- enough so that I feared I might loosen it from the motherboard. The other cables that I had were secure, but didn't require quite as much pressure to snap in.The value is good, but the construction could be a little better.

Not really anything to complain about. You'll get what you expect. Nothing fancy. Can't really ding a product that is so basic and simple unless it is really poorly made. These appear to be made just fine, and have worked and done their job without issue.I have had some SATA data cables that quickly broke because of poor plastic on the connector itself. These don't seem to have that problem. They attach and detach easily, but remain firmly in place when connected.

I bought these to fit the colour scheme of my PC. Was a little disappointed as they were not nearly as high quality as the ones that came with my motherboard. Even so, they work and the right angle on the one end is a nice touch.

Good priced pack of SATA cords with a nice red color.
Does the job as it's supposed to do, for the price, I think it was a good buy, as I needed a spare cord for a hard drive in my computer. You can find cheaper prices on Monoprice's website.

I would give 4 star if not for the false advertising. They are straight on both end.
Not as advertised. No 90 degree end, they are straight on both end not a too big deal to me but might be deal breaker for others and cables are little bit shot than i expected. I would give it 4 star if not for the false advertising.

The package contained 5 red SATA cables, but neither end had the 90-degree plug despite the label on the very package indicating that they were. I'll use them in applications where a 90-degree plug isn't actually required.

Four Stars
The cables are a little stiff but I can't really argue since they work as advertised.
