The House at Pooh Corner (Winnie-the-Pooh) Review: LOVED! - Absolutely LOVED listening to these CDs with the kids. Even my son age 10 laughed. The narrator is the one who played Slughorn in the Harry Potter movies - quiet a soothing and pleasant voice. He does a great job with all those silly bear songs and poems too that I find too awkward to make palatable. Bought both sets! Review: how wonderful - I had read this book as a child but now as an adult reading it to my children, I see the true beauty of this set of stories.

Classic for a reason
This book is always a joy to pull down and read a chapter or two with my four year old. We both get a giggle and it's a sweet way to end the day. The printing and binding are lovely and a treat to flip through.

A Moment To Cherish!
In which Christopher Robin, his very best friend Pooh Bear and their other friends go through a series of adventures, in which they all learn something about themselves. Which is good. But in chapter nine all of the friends share an epiphany concerning life in general, and they all get sad. Then in Chapter ten, Christopher Robin takes Pooh Bear to an enchanted spot in the forest and the two wonderful friends talk for a bit and Christopher Robin learns a little bit about life, the universe, and everything. And they promise to stay friends forever. Which is also good. In Adult speak, this collection of adventures written for Children by the Master, AA Milne, is full of obvious double meanings. A glorious set of stories, with an emotional high at the end, is sure to leave the reader almost at breaking point. At the start I said this was "A moment to cherish", and I meant it!!! True beauty in literature. Greggorio!!!

One of the best children's classics.
The House at Pooh Corner holds all the charm of the first Winnie-the-Pooh novel. The characters haven't changed and they are as funny and witty as ever. This novel, however, introduced the famous Tigger and his bounce. The tales were just as fun, but the ending is what got to me, as we learn Christopher Robin must grow up and cannot spend as much time with Pooh and friends now. I would be lying if I didn't say I shed a tear or two.

Wonderful Classic!
I grew up watching the Winnie the Pooh movies and shows from Disney, and also reading the Pooh picture books. But I recently realized that I had never read the original Pooh books! So that is why I bought this book (along with the first Pooh book). It's such a wonderful book and brings back so many memories of childhood and innocence. These books can be read by people of all ages! It's not just for kids! I enjoyed reading it myself and to the kids I babysit for. The pictures are in black and white, so if you're someone who prefers color or doesn't like B&W, I suggest buying another version of the book. But I don't mind the original Black and White version. The illustrations are wonderfully done. This is a must buy for any Pooh fan!

A Very Humorous Book
Thiw is a fantastic collection of short stories about a lovable group of pretend animals. I burst out laughing at least three or four times as I read each story. Who could not laugh when reading about the only animal who could spell his own name (WOL) and could spell Tuesday so you knew it wasn't Monday! Then there is Eeyore, the donkey who always gets picked on, and of course Pooh Bear who usually finds time to toddle home for a spot of honey around 11 AM.

The House at Pooh Corner is certainly a children's classic and also a classic in the sense that it transcends age. I'm 41 and have just finished this joy of a book! Lovable, brainless Pooh. Cute, timid Piglet. Philosophical, depressed Eeyore. Bossy, organised Rabbit. Talkative, intelligent Owl. Motherly, caring Kanga. Carefree, fun Roo. Confident and overly-ambitious Tigger. All under the wing of Christopher Robin with the classic illustrations by E.H. Shepard. To be informative, the ten chapters tell the tale of how a house is built for Eeyore, the arrival of Tigger, the search for Small, when Tigger and Roo climb a tree, the mystery of what Christopher Robin does in the mornings, the invention of Pooh sticks, the unbouncing of Tigger, the destruction of Owl's house and the search for a new one, and finally when Christopher Robin and Pooh leave. Just delightful and incredibly witty at times!

何よりも表紙が可愛い! 英語も簡単ですらすらストレスなく読めるのもよかったです。他の方のレビューで汚れや傷が目立つとあったが、私は気になりませんでした。 他のシリーズも買う予定です✊
