Nice, but I wouldn't belay with it.
I'm writing this review mainly as a public service announcement for anyone looking at this as a possible belay carabiner for top rope climbing. Personally, I would NOT want to belay using this carabiner for two reasons:1) Its size: Just to give you an idea, this is smaller than the Petzl Attache (which is Petzl's SMALLER belay carabiner) or the Metolius Element. Both of those are - in my opinion - on the smaller side of what people would normally use for top-rope belaying, and are (totally subjective opinion here), in the sweet spot for giving your belay device and rope room to move through the carabiner, while still giving you control over both. THIS carabiner, on the other hand, is smaller than the aforementioned already small carabiners, and therefore would in my opinion, be a little cramped for belay duty.2) Its shape: Carabiners of this shape are fine for other uses, but as a belay carabiner, I'm not a big fan of the relatively sharp inside angles, as I feel they will lead to extra rope wear over time, not to mention a feeling of more-than-normal friction. All that said, this carabiner appears to be well constructed. Twist lock engagement is positive, the key lock groove is lined up well, and the unit feels both light and strong... to the point where I'd consider this an option for belaying if Mad Rock tweaked the design a bit.As it stands, however, I'd go for the Petzl Attache as my first pick as a top rope belay carabiner, or - if you're on a budget, and need something priced almost exactly the same as this Mad Rock carabiner, the Metolius Element linked below:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026LSP76/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Best durable and secure key chain around. Like a nice pen people will try to take it from you.
I bought this because I like to clip my car keys to my belt because I usually have my phone and wallet in my front pockets. I originally had a cheap clip like the ones you see at the check out lines at stores which are prone to falling apart at the gate. Considering how important car keys are I finally decided I no longer wanted to risk losing my keys if it broke. I worked as a zipline operator for a few year so I developed a skill of opening dual and tri action twist carabiners one handed with ease. Most people who try to open these type of carabiner clips are often confused or struggle to open them if they have never used one before or not very often which is added security in case someone tries to swipe your keys from you. Some carabiners can be made of metal but this one is made out of aluminum which is ultra light. Its even lighter then other aluminum carabiners I am familiar with using. These work so well as a key chain that instead of people trying to steal your keys they will want to steal the carabiner instead.

Not using it for climbing but a great product
Good Biner. I have it more as a multipurpose biner to help me hang things like the food supply when I'm camping. Overall, it's a great high quality product and it can really help get you out of a bind, if you know how to use it and have rope that is certified for climbing. Overall, this is a very high quality product. The twist makes it easier to open and close quickly and it locks up realy fast once it closes and the twist locks it. The KN rating is clearly marked. I would trust it with my life. In the military, used just one of these and some rope to rappel in a pinch. Not the best setup but if you have to, this, some rope, and some knowledge can literally save your life.If you're not a climber, I highly encourage you not to try to climb without proper training -- you can really get hurt.

fits the bill for what I needed
little big but it is the closest I could find to what I needed.I use if for my keys, keeping all of my keys on separate rings and using this to then keep all of the rings and keys on. (The minimum ring size is 25 mm, as that is the size that will barely slide around the whole caribiner, including the twist mechanism)I take the car key off each time I use it so all of the keys aren't hanging down and putting pressure on the ignition. If I have to take something in for service, I take the key off and give them that.If I have to let someone borrow a key at work, I take that key off and keep the rest. The Carabiner is very secure and has not accidentally come apart yet. The twist action doesn't require much torque but you do have to twist it to disengage the locking mechanism, which prevents accidental loss of, in my case, keys.

Not perfect, but quite good
When I say this isn't perfect, I mean with regard to climbing. For a key holder, this (like most climbing carabiners) is too large and too heavy. I'd give this a one or two star for keys. For climbing, I find the gate is a bit small. To open a twist gate, you need to have your thumb and index fingers need to maintain grip on it. My fat thumb gets in the way of ropes and wider slings. Bigger carabiners weigh more, so the size of this is actually pretty good. (Good enough that I bought a second one.)

Tough
I use it for biking/skiing to clip equipment to my bag temporarily and feels strong enough to keep for the years to come.

Excellent reliable dog leash connector
This was the smallest twistlock carabiner I could find to use to replace an unreliable dog leash snap. It is very well made and easy to use, and, although a little oversize for my needs (hint hint), I am very satisfied with it as an attachment to a (Julius K9 IDC) harness. It would likely be too large for most dog collar attachment rings.
