Love, love love!! The best travel tumbler ever
This is absolutely wonderful! If you’re a fan of hot coffee and tea, this travel tumbler is a must-have. I promise you’ll taste your coffee or tea as if you were sipping from a ceramic mug (just make sure to wash the lid well before you use it for the first time), and it will stay hot. It’s all thanks to the ceramic lid on top of the inner ceramic coating. You might find other tumblers with an inner ceramic coating and a hard exterior, but they all come with a plastic lid that ruins the taste and aroma of your coffee. I’ve been on the hunt for tumblers with a ceramic lid and an inner coating/metal exterior for ages, but after discovering this one, I’m done looking. I bought two this time, but I’m planning to get more for my camping trips and work. If Elemental could offer additional designs, such as a mug with a handle or a wine tumbler, that would be fantastic as well. I’m not too worried about the tumbler breaking, but the lid might crack if I accidentally drop it on a hard floor. The good news is that Elemental sells the spare ceramic lid. Elemental, please don’t stop making this product line. This tumbler is absolutely beautiful and of exceptional quality, and we can’t find it anywhere else. I highly recommend it.

Great on looks and keeping drinks hot/cold. Easy to clean. not completely spill proof
I've been using this travel coffee tumbler for about 2+ months now. I get complimented on the color and style, often. It does really well when it comes to keeping my cold brews cold over the course of the day. As well, it keeps my hot coffee hot over an extended period of time too. I love the silicon band across the middle of the tumbler as it makes it great for gripping and holding on to it. There's also an anti skid pad at the bottom so it stays stable on desktops, etc. My only criticism is that there is a small venting hole in the lid (so that liquid can get out easier, when you drink through the mouthpiece--- yay physics!) Well this tiny hole makes it difficult for me to mix in my cream/sweetener by shaking the tumbler. So you don't have a flawless seal on the tumbler. The soft rubber/silicon stopper for the mouthpiece is good at preventing spillage and splashes. However, the cap stay in place in the tumbler due to a soft rubber/silicon ring (grommet) that creates a seal. This seal works well but it is not kept in place via a screw or locking lid mechanism. I did just drop my tumbler (on accident) from countertop height about an hour ago, and the lid popped off and I spilled the remainder of my coffee. This was on hard floor, but I imagine it wouldn't happen on soft flooring or if fallen from a lesser height. The good news is that the tumbler didn't dent and the lid did not break. Which bring me to my last note. The lid is ceramic, where the tumbler is double-walled insulate steel (metal). It makes for a classy look with the two different materials coming together. Yet, I imagine if the cup were ever to fall on concrete, then the lid would break.

Solid Coffee Mug
Solid coffee mug for the price, mostly bought it due to the real wood look. I like everything but the lid. It's a bit too easy to take off, the lip is too fat, and the silicone plug is awkward to open/close. Other than that it keeps coffee warm and is comfortable to use, grips on the side and bottom are great.

My hunt is FINALLY over!
Wow... all I can say is wow! I have been searching for a ‘covered’ coffee cup for a very long time. I have tried a bunch.. they all had issues that made them.. unusable. This cup: I use cream in my coffee. Lots. This cup really holds the heat. The moving silicone mouth ‘cover’ holds the heat. The bottom: more water bottles, mugs and cups should have a rubber bottom. An absolute plus. No clunk when u set it down... don’t need a coaster... just an absolute plus! No sliding all over... The lid... very nice ceramic- great feel to it. For those reviews that complain about breaking it... well- be careful! That’s on you- not in the lid! If I drop it; my bad. I’d buy a new one... if they are expensive- I’ll just buy another one and be more careful! Or I’ll purchase another mug itself! Cleaning- I’ve read reviews that complain about not being able to get a hand in this to clean it! Huh?! What water bottle or container can you fit your hand in; I ask?!! They make a really awesome implement called: a bottle brush! Which I use on all of my water bottles! Rubber around the middle- thank you! I have bottles that are slippery on the outside... but most have a handle on the lid so no big deal. Since this has a rubber piece; very easy to hold and you don’t feel like you’re going to drop it! Smell: when done drinking my coffee- I have cleaned these immediately... since I use creamer! I have another coffee bottle with a lid... I thought that was the one.. nope- the rubber around the lid is rounded off and large-water gets caught under it... it’s gross. Looks-these look so pretty... or: bad a...! Cold drinks: I put ice in the larger bottle- last night with my soda/water mix. It didn’t stay until morning-I didn’t expect it to but that’s not what I bought these for! Still using during the day because it’s ...so far... kept my drink and ice cold for 3.5 hours... For cold the very best bottles are: Camelbak... better than any other water bottle out there and I can say that because I’ve tried about every other bottle... expensive and less expensive! So: to recap... this Elemental coffee mug is the best one available- in my humble opinion! Forgot transport... if you’re going out with your coffee this is a great bottle- fits in cup holder. Yes, a bit harder to open while driving. Open it at a stoplight! Lol! I might give these as gifts at Christmas. Last year I gave the Camelbak to all my kids and one of my neighbors! Highly, highly recommend!

Good idea poorly executed
The mug itself seems good quality. The lid seems like a good idea poorly executed. There is a small pinhole that never shuts, I assume to let air in as I drink. But coffee leaks out of it while I am walking with it or bouncing in the vehicle’s cup holder as I drive. The shape of the mouth area feel really odd when drinking. It work fine, but just feels really odd. And because of the top heavy nature of the lid, and not being secured solidly, it easily falls off if it bumps anything. It also only keeps coffee hot for maybe an hour or so, depending on the outside temperature. Also, if they went out of their way to make a porcelain lid, why not fully commit and line the inside of the mug with porcelain as well? All that being said, I’d be happy to use it at home or something like that. It is of quality material and construction, I just don’t like a few things about the lid design. Therefore, I doubt I’ll keep using it much specifically while driving.

Finally, a Plastic-Free Tumbler That Actually Works
Finally, a Plastic-Free Tumbler That Actually Works I spent hours searching for a tumbler that wouldn’t let plastic touch my hot beverage—this is by far the best option I found. The tumbler itself is metal, and the lid is ceramic, which makes a big difference. It has a silicone plug and a ring around the lid to prevent leakage. Since silicone is far less likely to leach into liquids than plastic, this setup feels like the safest choice out there. I’ve already knocked it over a few times (oops), so I can say the silicone ring really comes in handy! It also has a silicone grip and bottom padding, which adds stability and comfort. Drinking from a ceramic lid instead of plastic is a totally different—and much better—experience. I usually sip my tea or coffee over 15–20 minutes, and this tumbler keeps it hot for up to an hour, which is perfect for my needs at my desk. Before, I had to keep reheating my drinks—no more! It looks great and functions even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for a healthier, more pleasant way to enjoy your hot drinks.

Bottom line don't buy it yet unless you want to experiment with O rings to fix the poor design.
This review I hope will help those that are considering purchasing this cup and I hope will help the manufacturer fix the poor design. Bottom line don't buy it yet unless you want to experiment with O rings and fix the poor design yourself. I looked at several travel mugs to replace my Keurig travel cup to eliminate leaching plastic into hot coffee. I thought the Elemental cup would do the trick so I ordered one. The lid is ceramic with silicone stoppers which is great; however, the O ring is sized to small, is flimsy and seats too close to the cup rim to form a tight seal. As a result of this poorly executed design the lid comes off ( falls off ) easily and does not form an adequate seal to serve the purpose of travel in a car, by foot, or any other mode of travel. If the cup falls over, gets bumped or otherwise gets disturbed the lid will fall off spilling the contents. Hints for the manufacturer to save your reputation: Please replace the flimsy O ring with a tight fitting, solid silicone O ring on the cup lid as a short term fix. It will not cost a lot to do on a manufacturing run. Or better include a new O ring with future shipments in the box with a carefully worded apology and clear instruction on how to replace the flimsy O ring with the new tightly fitting one. Long term fix: 1. Make the ceramic lid taller so that it can fit deeper down inside the rim of the cup and use a tight fitting silicone O ring that forms a seal 2. Rethink the lid design so that it is threaded with a tight silicone seal, then the new ceramic lid could be purchased and used as a retrofit on all of your cups that have the same rim diameter. Yow should be able to hold it upside down and the lid will remain tightly sealed. Happy Coffee Drinking!

Pretty for a tumbler. Quality build
Looks really nice. The smooth ceramic gives a great sipping experience. I gave it to my mom as a gift. The material looks like quality. It's pretty for a tumbler.
