OEM
The switch came in a Motorcraft sealed bag and it is the correct replacement for my 2010 Fusion SE 2.5, 4 Cylinder. Symptoms: I would turn the key and nothing happened, no crank, no radio, nothing. I would have to turn it a few times and it would turn on. Sometimes it could delay start if I left the key turned all the way and held it there. Sometimes it would crank on without any problems. I checked the battery and starter and they seemed fine, replaced them anyways and still had this problem. That narrowed it down to the ignition switch or the lock cylinder. Luckily it was the switch and took only a few minutes to replace.

Car kept running but nothing else worked
While driving my 2008 Mustang home from vacation all the gages and accessories quit working for a moment twice. The car kept running but nothing else worked - radio, a/c. speedometer, gages, etc. Internet research pointed to a bad ignition switch. More than one circuit is controlled by the switch. Thus, the engine continued to run when everything else stopped. A Youtube video provided instruction on replacement. An easy fix.
