For ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, and PhD Students
My son is diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome. With Focus Fizz, he is more engaged and conversational socially, happier, makes more eye contact, and is more on task. At a dinner party, a friend said she couldn't tell my son was autistic - after he had been using Focus Fizz. It's the first form of B12 that did not give him a terrible headache. I used 1 scoop in the morning (1/2 of a day's dose) because a 2nd scoop in the evening caused insomnia. Recently, 2 scoops in the morning (entire day's dose at once), led to ever greater (and more delightful) social engagement. Other folks have noticed the difference in him, too! When I saw the effect on him, I started taking it during my PhD studies - and found it greatly enhanced my productivity, memory, and *focus*. I tell some of my counseling clients about this product, too. Highly recommended! (I think Biogenesis makes a similar product w/o the fizz if that's a problem for you.)

Made my child's tics worse
I gave this to my 8 year old upon recommendation by our chiropractor. She was diagnosed with mild attention deficit disorder, has tics, and is moody. I kept her on it for about 3 weeks. I noticed a mild difference in her putting things away without me asking. It was not enough of a difference for me to keep giving it to her. It has a fair amount of sugar per serving and she was on 1 1/2 servings, per her age. She did not like the taste so I was putting it in juice which added more sugar. During this time her tics got much more severe. As soon as I took her off it, they got much better. They are not gone, but the Focus Fizz definitely caused them to be worse. Previously, most people did not notice her tics. During the time she was on Focus Fizz, people started commenting on it. So it didn't help us and I wouldn't recommend it if your child has tics. I've now read that kids with tics need more vitamin B-6 and magnesium. This product is REALLY high in Vitamin B-12. I think that was the wrong vitamin for my child.

Some improvement, but fizz caused stomach aches.
My 8 year old daughter was taking this to help her keep on task at school. It did work, but taking it in the morning before school was rough because the fizz, caused by the baking soda in it, gave her a bad stomach ache in the morning. Our naturopathic doc said the only reason for the fizz is because kids like fizz and it does not need to be in there. I would continue to use the product if the fizz was gone, but instead I am trying to find a fizz free alternative. Next complaint is that the product tends to clump badly if it is humid out, similar to when you find an old container of koolade in the back of a cupboard. I do not care for the container it comes in. The paper seal doesn't remove cleanly and the cover then becomes difficult to put back on, perhaps leading to the clumping problem. The scoop is useless at that point too.

Focus Fizz does the trick
This product was prescribed by our integrative medical doctor for our teen-age son as an alternative for Adderall to help with focus, attention, and energy issues while at school. It worked immediately and we are glad to not have to have him on drugs. He is bragging that it has helped him with his video game playing but I am not sure this is a good thing. We are giving it a three month trial and would have to say so far it is working well for him. He takes two scoops in juice on school mornings. He likes the taste. We are grateful that our doctor found an alternative that doesn't seem to come with side effects other than better scores on video games.

Not happy
Usually product arrives fine, been ordering it for a long time for my son who is on the spectrum. This time, it was two giant clumps. The color and smell was off as well.

Poor execution
The ingredients in this are great, but my kids won’t drink it. The fizz bothers them, it tastes terrible, and it clumps when you mix it. In the words of my 5 year old “I can’t just drink this, it’s horrible!”. It’s a bummer because I think it would really help them. Would love an unflavored, non-fizzing version.
