This fan works great for cooling a room. At the lowest fan setting, the air flow is strong. The noise level is a low hum on low speed, a little louder on max speed but not loud enough to bother you. I've had it in the bedroom and living room where it performed well in both places. I was nervous to order since Amazon posted this item is returned often. I had no issues and we love it. My sister has the same fan and she loves it too. I would recommend this for anyone looking to move air and cool the room down.

I have almost no room in my tiny place, so I got this and I’m glad I did. It’s quiet, but powerful. It’s also an air filter as well as a fan, which is a definite plus. The remote is great and there are a lot of settings. I’m thinking about getting more of them for other rooms in the house.

I like the height of the fan, and it pushes the air around the room really well. It keeps it cool, and for most it would probably be perfect for the noise level, but we’d like it to have a little more white noise while on, especially as it has 4 different speeds to accommodate your wants and needs. Other than that, this is a great fan. It definitely keeps a room cooler without having to turn down the air, or turn up the heat, since it distributes the air flow well.

This is a summer must have. I live in a second floor loft and I need this to aid in keeping the area cool. I'm a hot sleeper so this is on almost 24/7. So far I've had no problems with it and have even suggested it to friends.

It will absolutely move some air. It's a little loud, but we don't mind the trade off.

I had bought this same fan for my office and liked it so much that I bought one for home, too. It’s perfect for the summer days when you can get by without AC but need some way to keep the home cool. Just right for spring and early autumn. The fan is quiet enough, easy to assemble, slim, and comes with a remote that fits on a handy notch on the fan itself. Great design and engineering.

Wanted a fan to put by the front door while it's only open a few inches, and to use on the outside patio when it's hot and still, and in a hallway to push cooler air through the house on hot days. Still has some sound, not near as loud as many others that I have tried. But over a month of use, noticed more sound. Called the manufacturer and they said it has to be cleaned twice a a month. Use a vacuum to on the back of the grill. Cannot take it apart. Seems a hassle to remember I have to go drag out the vacuum cleaner and do that. They also suggest blowing from the front towards the back with compressed air come up but I have compressed gas which is not good to breathe inside of a house, so haven't done it outside. Like that it rotates and all the options for fan speeds. Wish the company would have made a nylon sock or something that slips over the whole unit to catch most of the dust before it sucked into the machine. I recommended this to a neighbor, and she placed a huge Ladies nylon over the machine which she takes off and washes routinely. Unfortunately I don't have nylons large enough to slip over this machine. Something should have been a filter that could be cleaned easily. Wish the company made something for that purpose. Got it towards the end of summer so now it has been sitting for the last couple months. I hope it lasts. But I don't want a big box or round fans that are horrible sizes and bad sounds, so I think this is the best so far, as I have had a prior one last many years, I just wanted another one like it but couldn't find it. I had it set in my hallway blowing cool air from my air conditioning into the large communal living room, dining room, kitchen and it worked great. My old tower fan was lasko brand, that I like the silver color, but the model is no longer made. This new one is black front silverside, and black back. I would have loved it if it would have been total silver which disappears in a house that has white walls. The black looks very industrial and to me not very pleasant looking at it. But it does function the way I needed it to. Would buy it again if no other silver color exists. Pricey so I hope it lasts many many years.
