Premium chicken layer feed brand is a high quality feed and the favorite feed of my chickens. My chickens lay better, have better feathers and better nutrition. Mixed grains, pellets, no corn and higher protein. It doesn't stink or smell like others I've tried.

These seeds are fresh, clean and top quality all essential for the health of the flock. No dust like so many other chicken feed have, and chickens love it. I eat their eggs so for me non-gmo Organic is absolutely essential for my health too.You can tell a massive between small batch and big box feed. These small batch seeds have quality control and no waste material in them, they have definitely grown under better conditions than large company seeds.Yes, pricey but long term I’m planning for not having to pay for medication or treatments (for both the birds and myself compared to if I consumed eggs after chickens ate seeds with toxic spray) so I just cut some of my personal, regular expenses I don’t really need for my survival ;)Very happy costumers and been subscribing for years

12/2020 UPDATE:Been meaning to give an upgraded 5-star rating to this feed. My girl has gotten used to eating the peas whole. they actually loosmaller than I remember from the first time I bought a bag (shrug). This is a quality feed that produces the most beautiful ripe, mango hued yokes, with a fantastic buttery flavor profile. I will continue to purchase and recommend this top quality brand.Original review:My rescue chicken had been eating homemade feed (totally spoiled her!) but I wanted something more complete in case I was missing nutrients. This layer feed looks beautiful and smells so wholesome. My girl is a bit finicky. I've slowly introduced her to this feed little by little. As others have commented the peas are to big for her to eat; she leaves them. I hate waste. To solve this issue, I laboriously take each pea out of her meal and give it a quick whiz in the processor. It would be great if the company would simply just use split peas. If there was a reason to not repurchase that would be it. Other than that it's a quality feed. I feel good feeding it to my beloved girl.

This layer feed smells fresh. The bright, mixed colors of the feed is refreshing. I do not see any dusty powder that is so common, in other 'big name' brands for laying feed. It actually consists of clean whole grains. it is amazing to see! I've tried 7-8 different companies for layer feed, 75% of them are coated with a dry dusty powder. None of them looked, felt or smelled fresh.The box arrived intact, the contents were NOT leaking. It was satisfactory. But the outside carton, looked faded, worn, and was visibly taped to reinforce the lid and sides...to keep the contents within. The inside of the carton was coated with a coating to keep the grain dry.When a person pays big dollars for feed today, you would expect the carton to look better, it would be clean, strong, and not permeable to the weather. This is why I dropped a star.

I am so happy with this feed for my girls!!! First off, I searched high and low to find a layer feed that was corn-free, soy-free, non-GMO, didn't have DE in it, and still had a high protein content. This feed hits all the marks! My chickens are obsessed with it - they gobble it up like crazy. The contents of the feed are really nice as well. The pieces are small enough that they enjoy it without having to choke down huge pellets, but not too small that it becomes dust. It's overall a fantastic product - I am very happy with it!!! My only gripe is that it comes in a box and not a bag. The box leaks the food out a bit which is a pain.

My chickens enjoyed this feed. I would love to order again, HOWEVER, the feed is loosely filled in a box. And I’m ok with that……. As long as the box is sealed, which is wasn’t. Feed leaks out during shipping leaving the customer with less than they paid for. And! If the feed can leak out then moisture, bugs, & harmful contaminants can get in! Please fix the packaging. Just a simple strip of tape to seal the box will do!

Very fresh product and feel confident with the ingredients as well.Initially I purchased food at our feed store in town. Same color, nothing exciting in it, but was told it had all they needs for their nutrition. However, I couldn’t identify what it was made from. It broke down like powder.After ordering this brand, wow! What a difference. I can recognize what’s in it. Colorful ,fresh and looks healthy. My chickens love it- Orpingtons- and have no problem with the dried peas. They tend to pick out all the stuff but leave the pellets. However, I don’t refill until pellets are gone to insure they’re getting all the nutrition intended. They eventually eat it, and so far, I’m very happy with the product. It gives me peace of mind knowing their food is fresh, wholesome and non gmo with no corn. What’s fantastic is I can actually see and identify what’s in it. I only have two, so for the price, it works fine for us. Keeps my sweet girls happy and healthy. So wonderful to support a small business, and receiving a quality product in exchange. A win win.
