Handy Tray
They worked well for the purpose. They clean very easily and well. I was a little surprised to see how small they really were when they came so look closely at the dimensions before you buy. If I could change anything, I would like them to be a little bigger.

Although these work fine, they are actually a lot smaller than I expected. I bought them because I thought the wells were larger than they actually are, so I sacrificed the number of wells for the size. As it turns out, the wells are the same size as the circular 12 well palettes. Unfortunately, this is not what I was looking for and not particularly helpful for the medium I am working with. These would be great for children in situations where you want to limit the amount of "stuff" (paint, beads, glue, etc) in each well as well as the number of choices they have. Not a bad product, just not what I needed.

... inexpensive (disposable) palettes that you can rewet is much better than having an expensive one or using palette paper
I do a lot of watercolor painting and I find that having inexpensive (disposable) palettes that you can rewet is much better than having an expensive one or using palette paper. With these I can use one tray for various shades of a color, with each well either having a more opaque paint ,a warmer or cooler tone or a translucent version of any of the above. They are very sturdy and unlike many other plastic palettes/trays that you will find- they are not flimsy or flexible and I don't have to worry about anything spilling while I move them around- so many low end palettes are like a cheap to-go container.Another great thing is after my watercolors dry (I use both solid, ink/liquid and tube watercolors) in the tray I can stack them!!! Hello room saver. And then take them out rewet them and use them the next day.I couldn't be more happier and probably will not go back to using flat palettes or larger well trays unless I work on a large painting in watercolor.**This review is for using these with watercolors and inks- I have not tried them with acrylics and I do not use oil paints.

Three Stars
works great.

Smaller than expected
These palettes are quite small. They will be ideal for holding paint but I'll have to order something else for mixing.

easy to control paint waste without burning though 100's of paper plates. we have 2 sets and let them soak, staff cleans 1 set while waiting for painters to finish with the 2nd set and repeat next class so no wasted labor

These are great for art projects
These are great for art projects. The small size is perfect, you can give each child one with a variety of colors and you don't have to put that much paint in it. We use these constantly and they are super easy to clean so we've used them over and over.
