Decent study aid
I feel like a lot of people are lazy and just want answers to the test without studying the material. I just finished reading the arborist study guide and know the material fairly well. Im going to reread the entire book to be ultra prepared for the test though. I bought your flash card set as a reinforcement to my studies. All in all I think it is good. Its hard to pinpoint exact answers to questions in arboriculture, so I like that your cards are slightly open ended questions. It gets you thinking of the multiple responses that there are. If anything, they could use more information. On a couple soil cards, I was surprised certain key words were left out of some of the answers. Like loam or infiltration. Im happy with my purchase though as I can read a question, and then respond for a few minutes regarding many different elements that it pertains to. Thank You.

Poor study aid and overall unpolished product
I love flashcards. They were my go to study method in high school, college, and grad school. When I was a student, I'd read through a book or guide, take notes to summarize what I needed to know, and make flashcards. If you use flashcards correctly they're a great way to learn the material and review material before a test quickly and efficiently. However, my student days are over and I, like most users of this product, am a working professional that has limited time on the weekends and in the evening to go through that whole process. So I figured I'd save myself the hassle of making flashcards and buy a set. Big mistake. These cards are so clunky you might as well just be reading a textbook that someone had shredded into flashcard-sized pieces of card-stock. They were so bad I rewrote them all, completely defeating the point of dropping the $45.Pros:+ Covers nearly all of the material in the ISA study guide. (only reason this gets 2 stars rather than 0)Cons:- Formatting of the material covered on the flashcards is not conducive to efficient absorption of the material. All the material is presented in a big block of text that you have to read through to pick out the relevant information. For example the flashcard covering chlorosis is over 13 lines of text long.A better formatted response for rapid movement through the information would be:(on front of card)Chlorosis(on back of card)Leaves produce insufficient chlorophyllSymptoms: Yellowing of leaves often with reduced terminal growth of twigs and overall diminution of tree growthCommon Causes: Insects, Viruses, FungiOther Causes: Excessively wet soil, low temperatures, lack of essential nutrients such as ironTreatment: Address direct cause. If caused by lack of nutrients, ensure pH of soil is not preventing plant from being able to absorb it.The current formatting of the card requires maybe 90 seconds to go over if you read quickly. Versus my suggested card that takes maybe 30 seconds. Not a huge difference per card, but if you're going through 30, 40, 50, 100 cards a night it's a time killer.- Description touts a 'micro-perforated edge' that prevents you from getting papercuts while using the cards. In fact, the cards are printed on heavy stock sheets of paper, 6 cards to a sheet, with perforations in between each card. You have to tear the sheets apart yourself. Took about 30 min. Was very annoying. Was very lucky to not rip and ruin a card in the process. Would have expected this to have been done for me for a product this price.- Formatting of the card is very poorly done. Font isn't as large as it could be on the front of card and quite small on the back. Company and website featured prominently on every card. Not a huge deal, but a little distracting.Final Thoughts:Knowing what I know now, the only reason I'd recommend someone purchasing this product is if they need to learn this material, but are too cheap to buy the official ISA study guide and are willing to give up the pictures and diagrams to save the difference in price. Personally, I'd rather shell out the extra money for the pictures. I wouldn't buy these if you already know the bulk of the material and just want to freshen your memory before the test. The block text paragraphs and poor formatting make this flashcard set too inefficient to use. There must be a better alternative out there. These feel like they were made in an afternoon on Microsoft Word by someone that really doesn't understand how to use the product they're making.

Recommend!
I purchased the ‘Certified Arborist Exam Flashcard Study System' since I will be taking my arborist test very soon. It is difficult to carry the book around with me at all times so I decided to try these flashcards. They are an amazing tool to have and they provide a lot of very detailed information. I love them! I give them a product rating of 5 out of 5.

Give you a little edge on the exam
I’ve enjoyed them and would recommend to anyone who is looking for another way to study vs. the isa arborist book by its self.

Great Products
Flash Cards are of good quality and content. I ordered the Mometrix Arborist Study guide book and for me is a better way of learning. I skimmed the book one time in a few hours and got a 67.5% on the practice test in 34 minutes Still not passing but defiantly a step in the right direction. Add both of these two products to your arsenal and they will help you pass.

Long answers
They really are good to make you think in depth, but it would be nice if there was one word answers or multiple choice included. Otherwise we have liked the cards so far.
