If you're hearing the "hum", you may want to try these on your windows at night. They aren't perfect, and I know they aren't made for this purpose necessarily, but they do help keep this sound down low enough so that you can sleep. I use them in all the windows in our bedroom. You can cut them to size, and trim the cones slightly to fit behind shutters, and stack them for sliders. Again, they aren't perfect, but they definitely help.

The amount of sound absorbed is the most important thing to know and understand when purchasing these types of products. I personally love the amount of sound that is absorbed by this material. It's super easy for a permanent or temporary fixture/adhesion. To be simple, it's worth every penny but can get pretty expensive if you need to cover allot of surface area. If you have the funds it's a great investment for any studio but if your on a tyte budget I would highly recommend saving 10 or 20 bucks a month to invest in quality materials for your home studio, office or theater.

I've ordered four times. first two came in a well fitting box that didn't deform the foam. third came in a huge but short box that permanently messed up the ends of the foam. fourth just arrived loose in the bag, shipped without a box. what's going on? after the first two quality has dropped for each subsequent time. this is extra unfortunate as without enough matching foam and an expectation it will arrive in good condition in the future, i will have to take down my existing foam as it will not match a future choice. :(

The best part about these is they shipped them to me already expanded. They're also a perfect shape for cutting into various shapes to get more spread out of them, and the 4 pack is literally a perfect kit for covering your first points of reflections. Just be aware they're not for keeping anything quiet. They just make your room sound better and less echo-y.

The key is to put 3m command strips on the back side while meshed together and then peel off the sticker and hang on the wall. Don't hang the stickers on the wall and try to align...it won't work. No more $200 studio sessions.

Works great and nicer than putting together individual 1’ x 1’ panels.
