Red Lantern Rosewood Fishbowl Stand - Size 12.5 in. Base Diameter

It is often difficult here in the Midwest to source quality Asian decorating detail pieces. So I had been looking for quite a while to find some elegant examples of the taller type of Chinese pot stands to add interest and height to some porcelain pieces I have had for years. These looked like the original wood stands that my family brought back from abroad years ago, so I ordered one from Amazon. I have found these stands to be absolutely excellent! They are solidly constructed, sized accurately for traditional Chinese pots (which means they are available as 8.5 inches in diameter for the traditional 8 inch pot, 10.5 inches for the 10 inch pot, and so on). As mentioned before, the construction is excellent, as is the rich-looking finish........not so with many other stands from other sources.. Each of these stands (this is my second purchase from this vendor) arrived promptly, and each was packaged superbly. These stands make each porcelain pot really stand out and presents them on a secure base so I have no worries about my antique and expensive porcelains! A great find at a decent price! Everyone who has seen them has mentioned how nice it is that I have finally unearthed more of my family's heirlooms.......so it is clear that they fit into the scheme of my decorating as if they have always been there! I will certainly purchase more as soon as I unpack more of my travel "treasures" that need beautiful, secure stands.

We ordered this on April 2 and it got here on June 7th. Looks like they batch build/buy these stands. Ours was a 15 inch stand as we have a large (say 50 gal vase to support with a round glass table on it). It came massively packaged so there was no damage, only a lot of fuzz on the stand. Did not look very shiny when we got it. After vacuuming off the dust, cleaning with Guardsman and waxing it with Pledge it really looked nice. Added some felt pads to the bottom (none included) and when the vase and glass top were added it was very stable. The next morning the light hit the stand and very nice rose color was seen. Although it is a little taller than we expected, we really like it. Worth the wait!

Shipping was super fast! Packaging was great, it came in a large box with styrofoam padding on the inside. It had a box inside a box with a couple layers of styrofoam, and it arrived in one piece. I had read some of the reviews about it arriving broken, but luckily ours arrived in one piece with no damage. It's very pretty! I would recommend wiping it down with a cloth when unpacking it, as there are bits of styrofoam and little hair type things that stick to it (probably from the manufacturing process). We put ours on a carpeted floor, so it doesn't slip as much as it might on a tile or hardwood floor. It is a bit more wobbly than I would have liked, though. The five legs are held to the small lower ring by small pegs and glue, and they're held to the upper ring stand by glue. The upper ring stand glue seems to be looser on the one we bought. If you touch the legs it wobbles a bit. We also bought a planter vase to place on top of it, so it may be all right once it has more even weight distribution on top of it. (I have seen somewhere where someone nailed the upper legs for added sturdiness and it didn't seem to crack the stand, so that may be something we'll try. The stand will be covered by the vase, so it might work visually). The one we bought will hold the planter vase and a 6.5' artificial palm tree, and the stand seems to be holding well as long as you don't touch it or move it around.

I ordered this twice. The first time I measured incorrectly and so I ordered a planter that was way too large. I placed it back in the box and shipped it back, but in the meantime I had gone through the Amazon exchange page and re-ordered a smaller size. The very next day my replacement was delivered to me!! This time it suits my purposes perfectly and I am so happy. The planter is deep dark cherry colored wood and it's very glossy. It looks well made and there were no imperfections. Really dresses up the corner of the room with the large planter on top.

I wanted to get away from my traditional furnishings so I chose something Oriental. It started with the pot. I had to have the stand for the pot. Then the bird of paradise to go in the pot on the stand in the corner, lol. Sounds like the old school tale about the House that Jack Built. Back to the stand. It looks very expensive and the pot fits it perfectly. I know I will enjoy this for years to come. Thank you seller!

Beautiful, functional stands for Asian styled furnishings. This was packed so well, it is hard to imagine it could be damaged. I ordered two. They arrived in a big box. Inside the box were two smaller boxes. Inside each smaller box, was another box containing the stands. Each inside box also had Styrofoam around the contents. Anyway, they showed up quickly, and arrived in perfect condition. Very satisfied, highly recommend.
