Best boots ive ever owned. Sizing consistent with your normal shoes
Easily the best boot I've ever owned, a bit spendy, but sooo worth it. I use them to hunt pheasant, deer, and bear in pretty much any terrain and temperature available in southwestern pennsylvania. They are not insulated so I wear wool socks if it is going to be below 20°f. The only time my feet got cold was a few weeks ago, and the temperature was below 0, I think this could have easily been solved with a second pair of socks. They are now 2 years old with no noticeable signs of wear (I only wear them for hunting or hiking maybe 40 times a year). I truly believe these boots will last me 10-15 years, which makes them quite cost effective really. If you have friends like mine, and witness them spending 200 ish bucks on boots every other year, sometimes more due to leaks and such, I think you would agree...money well spent

Great cross country off trail boot.
This is a high quality durable hiking boot perfect for off trail, cross country hiking and scrambling up to mountain peaks. If you are mostly hiking on trails you should consider a mid-weight lighter boot since the Lowa "Tibet" would be overkill.Even though this product has enjoyed very good reviews, the following should be noted. I just returned from a 5 day cross country traverse (first trip with these boots) climbing 7 peaks over 8000 feet including lots of bush wacking and many miles on steep terrain with sharp rocks. Not that any boot would hold up better but my right boot started to de-laminate at the rubber rand at the toes. No big deal, just surprised this already happened after one trip.

Best all around!
These Tibet GTX boots are absolutely the best hiking boots I've ever owned hands down! Over the 20 years I've tried and worn numerous other brands and Lowa has the best fit and don't even need "breaking in"- in my opinion. I've hiked in some of the most remote and rough, and steep terrain imaginable in the Sierra's, Idaho and Nevada. Some of things that impress me are the grip going down very steep grades, even loose gravel. I don't ever recall slipping and falling. Another is the quality, never had a pair where I got my feet wet, after walking through rain and wet grass for hours. They keep you dry.. The Lowa's I have always bought were made in Germany... I think a German would comment just, "typische deutsche Qualität" - typical German quality! The last pair I had lasted five years and no telling how many miles I have on them. They look beat up but still are comfortable and no stitching or soles coming apart.. They are well worth the $270.00 you pay and I will buy another pair when these wear out!

Old guy with happy feet!
Bought this boot on Amazon for over $120 off. Absolutely a great fit, great boot and quality product! Researched this thoroughly and couldn't be happier. Lows makes a quality product and it feel like it was custom made for me. I'm a size 10.5 and a little wide but this boot was a "M" and gives plenty of room in the toe box but grips firmly and comfortably in the heel and across the instep. Gradually breaking it in around the house and neighborhood by daily wear. Feels better every day and it was good on day one. I'm an older guy with sensitive feet and this is the best boot I've ever worn.

Best pair of boots that I have ever owned.
I got these from Amazon based upon some recommendations from some other hikers. I didn't want to spend this much and was able to leverage a GC and an Amazon promotion to get them for <$200, but they would have been worth the full price. They are, hands down, the best boots I've ever owned. I have been breaking them in over the last few weeks and have been amazed at how they fit and wear. This is not what I would call a lightweight boot, but you hardly can tell that you are wearing them.I started wearing them a few hours a days around the house and then out on some short hikes to break them in. Absolutely no hotspots, rubs, etc.I wear a size 10.5M to 11M shoe/boot normally, and I purchased these in an 11. The fit is perfect. Perhaps a little extra room in the toe than typical, but that does leave room for a heavier sock if necessary.GTX bootie has been truly waterproof. I have worn them through some slop already and my feet stayed dry. The only thing I will say about the GTX is that it makes this a warm boot. Even though it isn't insulated, with the right sock(s), these boots would be adequate for all but the coldest of days.

WOW! What An Amazing Boot
I reviewed many different boots before spending this kind of money on a pair of hikers. Now, after a 3 week trip out to the Colorado mountains, I can tell you these boots are worth every penny. Completely waterproof while trudging through standing water and shallow streams (I did hit them with nikwax nubuck waterproofer before trip). Also very comfortable and durable in the most rugged of terrain. I will never consider buying any other brand after using these boots. Make sure to get the extra wide if your foot is even marginally wide. Just can't say enough about these boots, and I sincerely mean that. An amazing, amazing product, even considering the price point.

This is the first pair of Lowa's that I have ever owned and I absolutely love them! They fit great right out of the box and didn't require much, if any, break-in at all. I used them for my Montana mule deer, Colorado white tail, and North Dakota white tail seasons and after hundreds of miles they still fit the same as when I got them. Great boot! Now I just need the insulated version.

Great backpacking boot.
Fits as expected, comftrable right out of the box! I purchased these boots for backpacking in the Untiahs. I took them on few mile hike in the rain, I stepped in the creek as well and my feet stayed dry. The toung stud and cool lacing features makes a huge difference in articulation in your ankles wich is importent on long trekks. Worth every penny so far.
