Great ball for fetch
I've been trying to find a decent quality ball that didn't break the bank for years. My dog is obsessed with large balls and over the years I've tried different types from basketballs to nerf balls. Volleyballs seem to be the best mix of softness, longevity, and price. This ball seems to be well made for outdoor use. The price can vary on here from $7 - $30 which is reasonable for a ball I use everyday for hours. The first ball lasted for about five months. Most dog toys are quite expensive and last a very short amount of time. Even at $30 that breaks down to only $6 a month for a toy that gets heavy daily use. I think that's a steal.

Lunch break volleyball
These are great little balls. *chuckle* Seriously, these are great. Easy on the arms and enough weight to keep them from flying all over the place on windy days. We use them for lunch time volleyball and no one has been complaining that they are sore or that it hurts. That's the best part right? We are not professionals by any means and abuse the living daylights out of these suckers. We play on grass and sand. Sometimes the balls land in bushes with thorns and they have yet to develop holes. Good thing too as these are actually replacements for ones that have suffered the thorns and lost their air.Okay, so maybe color was part of the decision process. But hey, why not right? Good colors and a good ball to boot!

Sand Volleyball
I've recently started playing sand volleyball (most of my experience is indoor) and this ball is just as soft and well crafted as the indoor Tachikara volleyballs. The league volleyballs that we get have a "cheaper" feel than this particular ball. This ball is much smoother and I like the way it "grips" my fingers while overhead setting. Some balls I found have a slippery surface. As for balance, it's perfect. After some hard hits and some foot digs the ball has kept it's shape. I've had mine for about 2 months (current date 8 Apr 14) and it's been used at least three times weekly in good play.

Good beginner or practice ball
This ball is well made and perfectly functional, but beach volleyball snobs will likely prefer Wilson, Spalding or Molten for touch and feel of the ball. This one is fine as a practice bag ball.

Terrible quality control... don't waste your time/money
Summary:-seams are raised which RUIN this ball-material feels decent-do yourself a favor and get the Wilson AVP ballI bought this ball for a co-ed intermediate outdoor volleyball league. I wanted a ball that was good quality that also looked good and had a great ball feel. My search boiled down to this ball and the Wilson AVP ball. I heard good things from one of the girls on the team that this was an excellent brand, so I decided to save a little money and go with this ball. This ball is a MISTAKE. Spend the extra money for the Wilson AVP ball... here's why.In our volleyball league, after the pre-game warm-up, we decide which ball feels better, and the decision is made about which ball we should use. My team already hates this ball, but once the other team feels it, they throw it back and tell us we'll be using their ball (of course). What does every other team in our league use (and they feel fantastic)? A Wilson AVP ball... every single one of them. Just don't turn into a sucker like me and end up owning both this ball and the Wilson AVP ball later, after you're resenting yourself for trying to save a few bucks.

best volleyball I have used yet
I purchased this volleyball because I was looking for a better ball for playing outdoors with my friends. We typically used the generic Wilson volleyballs that you find at any sporting goods store. I'm glad I went with Tachikara after reading reviews because the ball has been great. It feels completely different and has been pretty weather resistant from what I've seen. We must've played 10 times with it so far and it still in good condition besides the grass stains. This ball is definitely worth it if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks.

This Ball is just OK!
I purchased this ball for my volleyball husband for fathers day. It is just ok. I think it is smaller than the standard volleball size. We have an old ball that we use to play with during our sand volleyball days that we loved and this ball was much smaller than our old ball. It's not as soft as I thought it would be but that may also be because it is still new. Anyway, I gave it a 2 because I felt it was too hard and smaller than a normal or standard size vball. It was just "OK"

Disappointing (updated)
I hate writing negative reviews, but I think it's important that others don't experience what I did. I purchased this beach volleyball to play in Central Park in NYC this weekend. I asked that it be delivered to a nearby UPS Store here in New Jersey. Once I picked it up, brought it back to my room and inflated it, I found that one of the seams leaked air. I purchased it brand-new. I tried to return the ball, but because Amazon doesn't handle returns for this particular seller, I have to wait until my return request is processed (it's almost instant via Amazon.com). To be honest, I'm disappointed. I read reviews mentioning that this particular ball (the VB7500) leaked, but I chose to ignore them because years ago, I played indoor regularly and Tachikara made some of the best volleyballs in the sport. Like Molten, it's a brand I utterly trusted. I guess things have changed. Hopefully, if you decide to purchase this ball, it won't be defective; however, you should know that the other reviews mentioning leaks unfortunately aren't complete anomalies. This is not to bash Tachikara, but their brand carries with it high expectations (at least with me) and frankly, I don't think this ball is worthy of the name.Update August 20, 2015: I received a new non-leaking volleyball from Tachikara after I returned the defective ball. I didn't ask for it; it was given gratis. In light of that, my initial review seems excessively harsh. I already have an outdoor volleyball, but it's nice to have the Tachikara just in case. It seems like a solid outdoor volleyball. Four stars.
