Excellent chess set that I use to decorate my law office. Very refined and nice to look at. Quality wood chess set. Would recommend.

The chess arrived two weeks earlier than the estimated arrival date.The chess board is beautifully ornate, and so are the chess pieces.However, the pieces are a little too big for the squares, but this is my personal taste; I would like them to be a little smaller. Nevertheless, it doesn't reduce the quality of the product. It is highly recommended.

A nice beginner's set at a good price. They're nice and big, impressive really. After I got it, though, I really got into chess big-time, so I got two sets that cost much more from House of Staunton, which Amazon sells, I believe. I also bought a set for my two young grandsons and my son. Fun fact: There are more possible chess games than there are electrons in the universe. How's that for offering an endless variety?

Great chess set - be careful with the queens
Lovely and sturdy chess set. I’ve had to reglue 5-6 balls on the crowns of the queens - but this is only because my young children are rough with those pieces. Would be fine for adults and older children.
