Paula's Choice RESIST Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser, Green Tea & Chamomile, Anti-Aging Face Wash, Dry Skin, 6.4 Ounce

This is my favorite face wash. I've tried quite a few different ones over the years and they dry out my face and make it feel tight. This one cleanses my face while also keeping it hydrated, it never makes my face feel tight! I pair it with an oil cleanser for double cleansing and my skin has never been clearer.

I'd been using Tatcha products for years but decided to look for more affordable options and eventually decided to try this. I'd seen the brand around a bunch but idk, the name Paula's Choice just made me think of someone's nana, like it was the millennial mary kay but ya know what, Nana knows best, okay! This is amazing. I have dryyyyyyy skin. Remember that spongebob episode where he gets stuck with the squirrel too long? that's my skin after a hot shower. But this stuff is amazing. I noticed shortly after using it that my skin wasn't dry, plumper and had a more even texture. It gave me better result than my $60 face wash (which I'd loved) and will now be replacing that splurge purchase. The things to consider: I don't know if this is truly a cleanser. It's a lotion that identifies as a cleanser. So is it lotion? IDK! but there is zero lather and although it has transformed my skin, it doesn't really make my skin feel "clean" when I use it by itself and it's not great at completely removing makeup. I've been using this as the first product in my double cleanse and am loving it, but if you want just one product for a face wash, maybe this isn't it? But it's definitely worth the purchase.

A lot of face washes tend to make my skin really dry even with moisturizer. This one does not! It helps clear my skin, and make it smooth without making it oily.

It was an alright cleanser, it kept my skin clean but didn’t do anything above average. I never broke out and it doesn’t have any strong scents which is always nice. It does a pretty good job at getting makeup off, but I don’t see how it’s hydrating. My skin gets dry as soon as I wipe off the water so I never noticed anything, but it never dried my skin out more than it already was. Make sure to put on moisturizer right away, or some kind of toner, cause my face feels firm (not sure if it’s just me). It’s overall a good amount for what what it costs, but I won’t be reordering it.

Just used the facewash for the first time and WOW! INSTANT GRATIFICATION!! My skin feels soft, clean and supple! Not at all dry or stiff, and took off makeup without having to scrub or wash a second time!Definitely recommend for aging skin (I'm 47). Definitely getting used to using cream cleansers, since they are definitely more moisturizing than the foaming cleansers I used to use. Also - cream cleansers I've used in the past don't take off makeup as effectively as this one. If you have dry skin and want a good, gentle, moisturizing first step - GET THIS ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

My handsome husband is in his 60s. He's a typical guy - never wears sunscreen and would wash his face with bar soap. His sometimes sensitive skin was usually red, he would have breakouts occasionally, and he had hyperpigmentation on the sides of his face. It was starting to bother him. I bought him the Paula's Choice Cleaner, the BHA exfoliant, and a Cerave face moisturizer with a SPF. He has been washing his face morning and night with the cleanser, using the BHA at night, and the moisturizer in the morning. He's been doing this for a few months and his skin looks amazing! The redness is gone, his pores are smaller, and he no longer breaks out. The hyperpigmentation is much improved, too. What's especially great is that the products don't bother him at all, and the routine is simple for him to do. He loves the way his skin looks. The only bad thing is now he is prettier than me - lol! Seriously, this is great stuff for the man in your life.

I like the cleaner but it does sting my face. I guess I have sensitive skin toward this one. Otherwise it’s a good choice

I have had super dry skin my entire life. Soaps dry my skin even more, especially in the colder months. This has a lotion feel and it does not suds up. This little bottle is expensive, so I save it for my face and now hands. The skin on my face can get so dry that it chaps, and I have even gotten scabs on my cheeks from stinging water after my skin chapped. This soap does not leave my face feeling dry.I have eczema on my hands that flairs up every now and then. This soap helps my hands from drying out when I wash my hands. When my hands get extra dry it feels like it’s a perfect condition for my eczema to flair up. I cannot say whether this keeps my eczema from coming back, but it does help keep my hands feeling more moist and not so dry. When my hands get too dry from regular washing they start to get itchy so that’s why I like that my hands don’t get too dry after washing with this soap.I like this product too especially because it is cruelty free.
