FCT-013 Engine Cooling Fan Clutch - Compatible with Select Toyota 4Runner, T100, Tacoma, Tundra

Appears to be authentic Aisin part. Cured my 03 V6 Tacoma AC pressures getting too high do to over heating the condensor from the fan clutch being bad. This cured it and all is well again. Also this unit is the Tow Pkg clutch so it is audible when it kicks in which is a good thing.

Took off the old, original, 230,000 mile fan clutch on my Tacoma. This bolted right in and the fan speed is a lot more than the worn out one. This really helped out the AC and cooling. For compatability, this was put on a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner SR5 double cab with the 3.4L V6 w/o the towing package.

99 4Runner needed this, solved the roar on startup and lowered coolant temp a bit too.

Fan clutch fits as expected in my 2002 Tacoma PreRunner. No issues since I’ve installed it.

Original part made it 24 years and 357,000 miles . . . this was an easy installation on the ‘2001 Tacoma (3.4V6 w/ 5 speed manual ) didn’t need to remove any surrounding hoses or the shroud. Only tools needed were a 12 mm wrench and a 10mm socket to swap out the fan.

I replaced the other cooling components such as thermostat, radiator and hoses trying to fix rising coolant temperatures with the A/C on in hot traffic. They helped, and I recommend replacing them, but the fan clutch was the main cause. It took me a while to realize my fan would not spin any faster when the engine was heating up, leading to poor performance, warm A/C, and paranoia when idling lol! To check if yours is good, warm up the engine with a long drive, and watch the fan while you shut off the engine. It should come to a stop almost immediately. If it keeps spinning like mine did, it means it’s not engaging properly when it’s hot. Once replaced, I can hear it ramp up when taking off on hot days, where as I didn’t hear it before. Vital for keeping your head gaskets from blowing on hot days when you need air conditioning!!!

Genuine OEM part for the toyota 5vzfe engine (3.4L V6 in 96-04 tacomas and some 4runners). Fits as it should.
