This is an airtight container
This container is airtight. If it is not airtight, then it is your problem -- you made a mistake by gunking it up with whatever substance you were putting it in. Be sure to keep the airways open and the bottle otherwise clean and not break it by forcing it too much and then you will be ensured of airtight containment (unlike Titan, eh!) for the rest of your years.

Perfect for safely storing your herbs and spices!
Airtight storage for herbs and spices.I purchased several of the 3-10 Gram containers, along with a set of removable labels. My herbs stay considerably fresher than the store containers. They are made of sturdy, high-quality plastic and can be be ordered clear or opaque. They are well worth the price and I strongly recommend them!

Good product
I really like these containers for a variety of uses, but got them primarily to store herbs and especially ABV(Already Been Vaporized) herbs. There is absolutely no scent that I can detect from whatever is inside the container. Stuff seems to stay fresh for many months. On the down side: Since these containers get used almost daily, I am always opening and closing them. This seems to move finer particles around, causing them to stick to the top and sides, slowing making the container lit hard to get on and off. Or perhaps the fine particles are clogging the air release valve. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend these Tightvacs for all kinds of home and professional uses.

Great Size. Larger models seal much better.
If you must have a compact container for a jacket pocket, this might be good.. It isn't tiny and is a bit large for pants pockets. Larger models seal better (3oz) but are a bit large for pockets. If you want tiny sealed containers, there may be some non-vacuum units that are compact but seal as well or better than this one does. Also, although closing the lid does push air from the container leaving it at a slightly lower pressure, it is not a heavy duty serious vacuum packaging container. It closes. It seals. It mostly keeps scent from escaping. It fits in your pocket.Summary: the larger containers seal nicely (3oz-6oz). This one doesn't work quite as well. It may be good enough however.Overall having used these containers more, I like the 3oz and 1oz sizes. The 6oz is good for storing more stuff and seals better. But it's rather big too.

sike!
these aren't any better than any other air tight container. they're neat, but you can get more air out of a Ziploc bag. the button isn't a pump. a vacuum holds the lid on and that's. it. again, they're neat, but they're worth a fraction of what you're paying.change it sp the lid fits a standard household vacuum hose & the product might actually do what people think it does. because as it is, it's worth about one whole dollar.seriously, I'd expect to find this in a dollar store. it's just a janky plastic jar with a lid that pops off & I'm only giving it three stars because it's kind of neat.

This is great for any kind of herb
I have always been a tightvac fan as i use them for dry storage at my restaurant. I normally buy them at my local store here in town but the price here on amazon is almost half of what i would pay in the store. The seal really is airtight and quickly comes off with the push of a buttom. I do feel they could use a little bit thicker plastic but i dont see that happening anytime soon. This is great for any kind of herb, spice, flour, sugar etc. It will keep everything fresh and ready to go whenever you need it. You wont beat this price anywhere else so look no further!!!!

It’s alright
It worked well for a few days, kept things inside well. After about a week the whole thing could get undone if you pulled apart the ends with your fingertips lightly. It was not airtight anymore. Still works as a container but the vac doesn’t work anymore.
