Yellow Bees Wax 5pc 1oz Bars Crafts, Creams, Cosmetics

I was very excited to see that my beeswax had arrived today. It came quickly and packaged well but as soon as I opened the bag it came in and got out a bar I noticed a plastic smell to it. A very faint smell of honey but mostly a plastic look and smell to it. I don't know a whole lot about beeswax but maybe the way the company processed the wax put a bad smell in the ones I received. Perhaps I only got a bad batch but next time I won't go inexpensive and just get the more quality wax. I decided to still try to make a salve lip balm with it and I'll update tomorrow once it's cooled and I'll see how the smell is. It melted slowly and took a while and the burnt plastic smell remained even after I put essential oil in it. Hopefully I can still use this for other things just not planning on putting any of it on my body. The reason I gave two stars is because of the fast shipping and I might still use them for other things if the smell fades. Hope this helps.UPDATE: the salve I made cooled much quicker than I thought it would but that may be because of the coconut oil I put in it. The smell has mostly gone away but is still noticeable. I shall use this on chipped wood or as a polish but I will not be using this for any homemade cosmetics or candles because of the smell it leaves. If you're wanting to use this for cosmetics then I suggest getting more expensive quality wax. It's possible I just got a bad batch because the other reviews are positive but I won't be reccomending this for anyone who makes homemade candles or cosmetics.

I break my reviews down into 4 parts1.packaging - the beeswax arrived In a polyurethane envolope inside yet another polyunithane ziplock which contained the 5 1oz bars of bees wax perfectly with no wasted space .2.shipping - the product took 3 days to arrive " 10 days sooner than Amazons estimated arrival"3.product - the beeswax is in my opinion of the highest quality . It has a faint smell of honey " which I would expect" and also has and exceptional color and great malubility once warmed up.4.material - some of the finest beeswax I've come across for use in candle making and cosmetics.All in all I highly recommend this to anyone looking for quality beeswax.

I got this beeswax to use in jewelry making and only need a tiny amount for that but these are really nice bars of beeswax. I'm sure I'll find otherother uses for it. I sometimes make body balm or hand cream and I can use it for that too. I think it is a very good deal too. I like it.

It was good wax. But smelled like christmas.

Arrived well packed and the quality of wax was very good

These are a little smaller than the bar I bought singly but I think they're actually the perfect size for holding and waxing thread.

Lovely beeswax. I mix with coconut oil for a great hand cream.

Not the great smelling bees wax i was expecting, not pure, slight paraffin oder too.Sorry not convinced this time.
