Douxo (Sogeval) Calm Mousse for Dogs & Cats (200 ml) – Topical Solution for Allergies

This product is a life-saver for my black cat; her coat is clean and her horrible, flaky dandruff is gone! ALL HAIL DOUXO!Before I found this product, Pants was reclusive, aloof, and gross-looking. She looked like a photo negative of a peppered steak. Her dandruff was repulsive and she was VERY uncomfortable. She avoided everyone, even gentle petting irritated her weird, snake-like skin.Her vet ruled out the most common causes of feline dandruff:- nutritional deficiencies (if anything, this butterball needs Jenny Craig)- thyroid issues (results were normal)- common allergens (grains, chicken, dad jokes, shrimp. The tests came back negative)The conclusion is that Pants is clearly allergic to something, but we could not pin-point exactly what it was. The vet performed all the allergy testing my meager budget could afford, but no luck.Her vet initially recommended a medicated shampoo, but Pants (surprise) was allergic to that too. Several shampoos, sprays and medications later, I found Douxo.I can’t pronounce it.I can barely spell it.But I am in LOVE.Pants is a completely different cat. She’s friendlier, she’s cuddlier, and she doesn’t act like like people are trying to pet her with Wolverine claws anymore. Her dandruff vanished within a month and the mousse is easy to apply. I love Douxo. Pants loves Douxo. Please use as directed and mousse responsibly.

I have a 7 year old pit-bull whose skin allergies flair up in the summer time every year. Pit-bulls have very sensitive skin and I am used to hearing the term "pitty skin" thrown around by vets often, but there doesn't seem to be a go to solution for it. The vets would just prescribe an antibiotic which he would take for weeks and the problem would just get worse. While waiting for those pills to work last year his allergies spots turned into sores which created bald spots in his fur, and he was not looking good. I was determined to try something different this summer, and I am glad I did. The Douxo Calm PS Mousse hasn't completely cleared his skin, but it has definitely helped it not get any worse. I can tell it offers him some kind of relief as well from the itching. It leaves his fur silky smooth after the initial day or two where his fur is oily with the product, but thats not a problem since its medicine. I highly recommend trying this product at least on your pit before going to vet if their allergies persistent but not that serious.

Our little dachshund has severe allergies which are controlled by prescription medication. Unfortunately it causes the skin on his back to become dry and flaky. Our vet recommended this product and I’m surprised that after only 2 days of use, his skin has stopped flaking! He also suffers from vasculitis in one ear and despite the daily meds for that condition, his poor ear is full of dry bumps and is flaky as well. After only one application, it became much softer and stopped flaking. I was concerned when I read another reviewers statement that it worked but is “sticky”. I didn’t find it to be at all. For his size the directions stated he gets 4 pumps of the product. I pumped it into my palm and rubbed my hands together then rubbed it well into his skin. I found that it was quickly absorbed and didn’t leave a residue. If your pup suffers from dry skin, I highly recommend this product!

Our vet recommended Douxo Calm Mousse when I brought my dog from a shelter, because she had a pretty bad skin condition. It really helped her, first by instantly relieving the itching, then speeding up the healing process. I've been purchasing this product on a regular basis since, as my dog's skin benefits from it. We apply small amounts right after her weekly bath, when the skin is still a little moist, working it well into the skin and fur just like one does with a hair conditioner. It does maintain lipid skin barrier as promised - dog doesn't scratch or does it very rarely, she sheds less and her coat stays soft and shiny. No dry skin or dandruff. My dog clearly likes getting her weekly Douxo treatment, one can tell it feels good to her skin by the way she cooperates during the treatment. I apply this product mostly to the skin under her collar, head, neck, shoulders, and around the tail. Haven't tried a Douxo shampoo yet, but might try one as well.

I have a Chihuahua with severe skin allergies, and this mousse is a huge help. When I rescued him he was mostly hairless with bloody sores and flaking skin all over. Vet dermatologist prescribed it. Along with thyroid medication and oral flea control (his skin couldn't handle topicals), vet-prescribed home cooked diet, and lots of love, he now has a thick coat of hair! He still gets itchy red feet sometimes if he accidentally walks on grass, and depending on the weather sometimes some of the itchy flakiness appears on his back, but a pump or two of this sticky mousse and he stops itching at it. The Douxo PS shampoo I didn't like very much, but I've repurchased this calming mousse.

Amazing stuff. My retriever mix was recently diagnosed with a thyroid condition, causing his once shiny, smooth fur to become rough and patchy, and he had terrible dandruff. Our vet recommended we use this to soothe his skin and help with the skin cell turnover. This seemed to lightly exfoliate his skin, and after 3 uses over 3 weeks (also used the shampoo), he was back to normal. 2 things I didn't like: This shampoo isn't particularly fragrant, and I wish it would make his coat shiny. Otherwise it was great for his sensitive skin.

I purchased this product after my dog had a severe allergic reaction. He had super bad bumps all over his body and his ears were inflamed. After using this product once it calmed down his itching and his bumps started to go away. After the second use, his bumps are completely gone. I love the fact it's a mousse. Easy to apply and there is no smell.
