Consuelo Gran Crema - Italian Ground Coffee - 4 x 250g

I'd been drinking the “Consuelo Gran Aroma” version of this coffee for about for a little over six months. I love it, I think it makes superb espresso. When looking to order some more, I noticed the “Consuelo Gran Crema” and thought I'd give it a try.I wasn't sure what to expect as the information on Amazon seamed a bit vague, although if you look at the pictures that are on the products page on Amazon you can see some tasting notes and a description – but one has to make a point of looking for them.I don't know how long the “Gran Crema” has been available, but if it is only recently available and if like me you had tried the “Gran Aroma” previously then this is what the taste notes of the two coffees state:Consuelo Gran AromaAroma 6/6Body 5/6Roasting 5/6Intensity 5/6Consuelo Gran CremaAroma 5/6Body 6/6Roasting 5/6Intensity 6/6I made two brews of espresso, the first one with “Consuelo Gran Aroma” and the second with Consuelo Gran Crema”.The Gran Crema did indeed have a more intense flavour but perhaps with less aroma (though to be fair as far as any aroma goes, the kitchen and my taste and smell was already full of coffee aromas from having already made a brew with the Gran Aroma.I drink the coffee in espresso glasses and looks wise, looking through the side of the glass, the two coffees looked about the same and with about the same amount of crema on the top.So maybe not the most scientific a taste test, but in simple terms I found the Gran Crema to be stronger – it definitely had more oomph, and like the “Gran Arom” makes, once again – superb espresso.I've got about four packets of each coffee at the moment, so it will be a few days before I order any more, but I would be more than happy to order either of them in future. I drink two glasses of espresso at a time and often make a second brew, but I would perhaps be less likely to make a second brew with the more intense “Consuelo Gran Crema” as it is that bit stronger.For reference, I drink espresso, with nothing added, and it was made in a “De'Longhi Dedica Espresso Machine”. (I've had a few different machines over the last thirty years or so, and this “Dedica” is one of the best I've had (for the price) for making espresso).

Arrived in vacuum-sealed packs. We use it in our drip-coffee maker. Strong flavour and fresh.

Having just rubbished a different coffee, I have to give this one a glowing review.I appreciate that different machines work better or worse with different coffees. I use a LaPavoni espresso machine that's knocking on a bit now. It works well with Illy Dark Roast and Happy Belly, and I have to say this is at least as good as Illy Dark Roast for about half the price.If you like an intense and lingering dark roast espresso, I hope it works as well in your machine as it does in mine... enjoy!

The aroma from this coffee is lovely, if you are selling your house it’s a definite must buy. However, we have found it rather weak and insipid as a coffee. Even putting extra in doesn’t seem to help much. Perhaps it is just us, given the largely positive reviews but flavour wise we have been underwhelmed.

I'm no coffee snob but I think this coffee is as good or better than any I have bought at the supermarket at a similar price. I find it has a nice rounded, smooth taste and produces a good crema. I usually drink it at breakfast and mid-morning as an Americano and sometimes with milk - it always makes a satisfying cup and I would recommend it . It arrived quickly (next day) and was well packaged,

I love love love love 💕 this coffee blend I would consider myself to be a coffee fanatic I drink lots of coffee every week but the coffee never tastes as good as it’s aroma! This one does .. the aroma is strong woody and masculine, the flavour a kind of Earthy mature taste with considerable afternotes of dark chocolate 🍫 I love this so much we’re considering using the blend in our coffee shop!!

I want to say I like coffee and drink it daily but this coffee made me question that.No matter how I brewed it it tasted bad. I tried pour over, moka and v60 and all 3 gave me cups I didn't enjoy. I even pulled out the scales to make sure I was doing everything right.Maybe it just wasn't for me but in future this is one to avoid.

Très bon café a un prix très intéressant , je le fait dans un percolateur et j'en achète régulièrement ,je n'en trouve pas dans les commerces traditionnel .

Positivo: Es buen producto y a muy buen precio, es un buen café. Llevo un año comprándolo y estoy muy contento.Negativo: llegaron de los 4 paquetes 3 de ellos desconchados, perdiendo su perdiendo su sello de conservación, yo al consumirlo rápido no pasa nada, pero si lo quieres guardar un tiempo no puede ser. Espero que otras entregas esto no pase, porque no es la priy vez que les pasa.

The media could not be loaded. Un caffè a mio parere bilanciato , non l’ho trovato acre , acquoso o particolarmente acido .Mi è sembrato piuttosto corposo e cremoso ( girandolo col cucchiaino la crema si riforma subito ) , dal sapore deciso , persistente e lievemente amaro .Molto forte in versione ristretto ma altrettanto piacevole in versione corto .In linea con il suo prezzo , personalmente l’ho comprato scontato del 30% e in questo caso il rapporto qualità prezzo è ancora più vantaggioso . Se vi piace assaggiare caffè nuovi ve ne consiglio una prova !Data scadenza del prodotto oltre 1 anno e mezzo dall’acquisto

Spesso gli acquisti effettuati su Amazon si ricordano (e condividono) volentieri per una qualità superiore alle aspettative, per il sorprendente rapporto qualità/prezzo oppure ancora per l'attenzione che il venditore ci ha dedicato in caso di problemi. Nonostante il Caffè Consuelo sia caratterizzato da un prezzo decisamente accessibile, devo dire che a mio parere questo non rientra tra gli acquisti che non vedi l'ora di consigliare agli amici (quelli più cari, almeno).Al pari del "famoso" Caffè Toledo venduto alla Coop, infatti, questo caffè sembra voler rinverdire i fasti del "surrogato", specie di miscela autarchica tanto in voga ai tempi della seconda guerra mondiale. Nella preparazione di questo caffè mancano infatti quei momenti che fanno del (buon) caffè una piccola esperienza quotidiana, che va oltre la semplice bevanda: la complessità degli aromi, il profumo intenso, il gusto deciso e/o persistente... che gli italiani siano sensibili al fascino di queste suggestioni non è un mistero, ma al Caffè Consuelo manca lo charme (leggi: la qualità) per regalare sensazioni esotiche e vagamente paragonabili.Nonostante sia prodotto da una grande azienda (Coind di Bologna, che produce anche un ottimo Caffè Classico per Coop), il Caffè Consuelo può essere una buona scelta per un semplice caffelatte, di quello un po' anonimo e slavato che ci davano in colonia: per chi dal caffè cerca una suggestione diversa, ed una robustezza degna di essere chiamata tale, consiglio di guardare altrove.

El sabor es fuerte y con muy baja acidez. No hace una gran crema (utilizando delonghi dedica con filtro presurizado) pero lo que sí destaca es el gran cuerpo que tiene. Notas de chocolate y frutos secos tostados.Parece tener una buena dosis de cafeína porque aunque soy muy cafetero, este es de los que más acelerado me ha puesto.El precio me parece aceptable por la calidad que ofrece. Mucho mejor de lo que puedas encontrar en los supermercados.
